Blame Our Education System For Nigeria Failures – Anaenugwu

We have a major problem at hand . The contents of our education from nursery to university level have forced us into a state slavery . First , our children are forced to adopt our colonial masters’ language . Most things they learn are abstract and cannot connect with things around . Our education model kills talents and passion for excellence. No wonder , our people succeed in foreign schools.

Education is in concurrent list of Nigeria Constitution. A Governor can actually develop the education system he desires . Why are they not developing it to address local needs?

Yesterday, while trying to assist my Son in Primary 4 do his class assignment on Civic education – Good Governance, i noticed that most things these children are exposed to are abstract : they dont feel it around them . My son asked me a surprising question after studying levels of Government and features of Good Governance: Daddy ,we have all these levels of Government in Nigeria , but why are our roads in bad conditions, why do we still have electricity problem ? I told him that our leaders are corrupt and that i am in a struggle with many other good people to ensure that features of Good Governance are implemented by Government .

These kids are smart , they are watching us . My Son has once asked me – why did Tinubu rigged election against popular candidate – Peter Obi ! I told him that majority of Nigerians are not interested in politics yet and that is the reason why i am spending time educating people on the need to hold people in Government accountable. Join this crusade now to liberate yourself and future of your children. Japa is not the solution.
