The importance of collaboration between traditional institutions and town unions for better development of Anambra communities has been emphasized.

The National President, Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo, made the emphasis after he led ASATU Executive members on a courtesy visit to Igwe Chidubem Iweka of Obosi; who was recently elevated as the Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

Barrister Akpudo noted that ASATU is committed to supporting the efforts of Governor Soludo in building a prosperous Anambra, and pledged to collaborate with the traditional rulers council on initiatives that promote peace, security, education, healthcare and economic empowerment.

The ASATU leader called for the formation of a joint committee that will be charged with the responsibility of resolving leadership tussles or crises between some Traditional rulers and Presidents General, as well as other critical stakeholders in various communities; in order to lessen the burden of community crises management on the side of the state government.
