• The Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria, MOBIN wishes to congratulate the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA in Anambra State for defeating all the other political parties and getting Governor Willie Obiano reelected to power.
MOBIN also wishes to thank Biafrans in Anambra State for heeding to its appeal that they participate in the elections and effect change through the polls, as a step towards the Biafra we pursue after.
It is on record that due to the political education which MOBIN massively carried out in Anambra State, Biafrans who came out to vote yesterday were far more than those who voted in 2013. This affirmative statement of Biafrans yesterday has made nonsense of the reckless campaign by some groups for the boycott of elections in Biafraland.
MOBIN hereby reinstates that until Biafrans massively pursue power through the ballot, using extant laws of Nigeria where we are still under, our efforts towards freedom will keep hitting the rocks.
The political experiment which we started just early this year has proved to be a tremendous success, since we have been vindicated by the victory of APGA which we Biafrans threw our support behind in the elections. We have always known that despite the labeling of the name ‘Biafra’ an anathema, Biafra is our true identity, and is the deciding factor that will make us or mar us in our pursuit of power and freedom.
We also want to use this medium to advise politicians and political parties, especially our earlier alliances that the time when the will of the people can be toyed with is gone. To be specific, the moment the United Progressive Party, UPP, betrayed the Biafrans, its fortunes went under. Today’s results clearly show that. You can no longer be able to decieve Biafrans and think you have succeeded.
To Biafrans we say, viva! We will make the same kind of statement we have made in Anambra in the rest of Biafraland, come 2019.
    Rita Eberechukwu Anigbogu,
    Dire General, MOBIN.
