Nnamdi Kanu Vowed To Avenge The Death Of Ikonso

The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has vowed to avenge the death of one of the leaders of the Eastern Security Network, ESN in Imo State, identified as Ikonso.

Recall that the Nigeria Police Force and their counterparts from the Nigerian Army and DSS in a joint operation, in the early hours of Saturday allegedly killed the commander of the Eastern Security Network ESN in Awomama Village Oru East LGA of Imo State,

Reacting over the killing, Nnamdi Kanu said as the body of the ESN leader identified as Ikonso was paraded by Fulani Jihadists in police and Nigerian army, so shall it be on Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma.

Kanu made this known in a statement made available to newsmen by his Spokesman, Emma Powerful.

He said “the killing of the heroic innocent Biafrans protecting our communities and towns from Fulani terrorists herdsmen masquerading as cattle herders in cold blood is very painful.”

The statement added that “the Supreme Court Administrator of Imo State Hope Uzodinma and all those who had a hand in this wickedness will pay dearly.

“Hope Uzodinma and his cowardly Nigerian security agencies that cannot confront Fulani terrorists but only flex their muscles when they see Biafra agitators. For murdering Ikonso, the ESN unit COMMANDER in in cold blood, Uzodima has stirred the hornet nest! He should get ready for a sting.

“Uzodima decided to kill Ikonso because he refused his offer to head Ebubeagu ghost security outfit formed by South East governors. Uzodima has tried but without success to lure ESN operatives into EBUBEAGU. He had made irresistible offers to them which were turned down, hence his resorting to elimination of these patriotic heroes who vowed never to betray Biafra.

“Hope Uzodinma sent a lot of emissaries to beg Ikonso and other ESN officers to join EBUBEAGU security outfit. So, because of their refusal to betray Biafra agitation and our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the hopeless governor mobilized joint security forces to attack them today.

“Contrary to claims by the cowardly security forces who flee from terrorists but kill innocent citizens, they were not able to peneterate into the camp of Eastern Security Network ESN. They only ambushed Ikonso but we promise them hell for this cowardly act!

“Hope Uzodima has murdered sleep, so he should be ready to stay awake! FULANI terrorists pretending as cattle sellers in Enugu destroyed Police van and attacked Government officials on lawful duty with AK-47 but no Army, police or DSS attacked them till now. But ESN operatives defending our communities against the terrorists are being hunted like games everyday. The world has kept quiet over this atrocity until we begin our own madness.

“Hope Uzodinma as you the body of Ikonso was paraded by Fulani Jihadists in police and Nigerian army, so shall it be your portion one day.”

THE OBIANO WONDER: LET’S UPHOLD IT- Anatune

Everywhere you meet two or more Ndi Anambra, chances are high that they would be discussing the landmark event billed for April 30, 2021 to mark the first landing of a commercial aircraft at the Anambra International Cargo Airport. They will also be discussing Soludo and others in regard to the November 6, 2021 Anambra governorship elections.

We refer this rare feat of airport construction as: “The Obiano Wonder,” because many have never ceased to wonder how His Excellency pulled this one off in such a short period of time and without any loan, despite having little funds at his disposal. It is not a publicity stunt as naysayers sought to portray earlier. It is a fantastic reality that is making us proud and imbuing us with psychological upliftment.

Across the globe, Ndi Anambra will pause to celebrate this achievement, and salute and cheer Governor Obiano whose place in history is already assured.

So why this almost intoxicating exhilaration? Primarily, Obiano, by pulling this one off, has integrated Anambra State into the global village with all the spin-off benefits. It will spur tourism, engender economic activities and growth, create jobs, push up internally generated revenue and generally improve the standard of living.

However, with no intention of spoiling the celebration of our collective great ennobling moment, it is important we spend some time to think about what needs to be done to uphold this promising future as Obiano’s tenure is grinding to a most glorious end. Indeed, it is imperative that we beam our searchlights on who can consolidate the benefits accruable from the airport project and his other legacy projects, in addition but not limited to his immensely successful security initiative, which has been the precursor to the burgeoning economic trends in the state.

In this regard, it is a common knowledge that majority of Ndi Anambra are clamouring for Cee Cee Soludo. As CEO of National Planning Commission and Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Soludo anchored the NEEDS document and its state-based counterpart; SEEDS, in addition to setting up Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). His visionary policies got us unprecedented debt forgiveness, created massive job openings and polled finance for funding huge infrastructural development across Africa. It is generally agreed that Anambra will be in a good, tried and tested hands with Soludo taking over the mantle of leadership from Obiano as he will be in a familiar turf to consolidate Obiano’s stellar achievements for the benefit of all. APGA members are gearing up to do the needful and so are the great majority of Ndi Anambra.

For now, “The Obiano Wonder” is so sweet, so ennobling and so exciting to regale. We can’t wait!!

SECURITY FORCES BUST IPOB/ESN OPERATIONAL HQ, NEUTRALISE IPOB’S NO2 MAN

A combined team of security forces led by troops of the Nigerian Army have raided the operational Headquarters of the IPOB/ESN terrorists in Awomama Village, Oru East LGA of Imo State.

The early morning raid by troops of Nigerian Army, Nigerian Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) and operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) was launched in the early hours of Saturday 24 April, 2021, following a detailed intelligence report on the location of the terrorists’ Operational Headquarters and the movement of the overall Commander popularly known as Ikonson Commander.

The IRT and DSS teams along with troops of 82 Division of the Nigerian Army have been on the trail of the terror group since the unfortunate attacks on the Imo State Police Command and the Owerri Correctional Center on 5 April 2021.

The said Ikonson Commander who was the mastermind of those attacks in addition to multiple attacks in the South East and South South regions, was neutralised along with 6 of his top Commanders.

The joint intelligence team had earlier interviewed several arrested IPOB/ESN terrorists in connection with the April 5 attacks and they all confessed that Ikonson Commander who was named as Vice President by their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was the one that mobilized men and resources as well as ordered and orchestrated the attacks on Owerri.
They equally revealed that Ikonson was responsible for many other attacks on Police stations across the two geo-political zones.

The intelligence team later tracked the IPOB/ESN top leader to his exact location in Awomama village where he (Ikonson) and his to Commanders were hibernating and plotting dastardly acts against the Nigerian state.

On noticing the presence of the joint operations team, IPOB/ESN terrorists brought heavy volume of fire on the raiding team who swiftly responded and overwhelmed them with superior fire power that neutralised Ikonson and six of his top Commanders. Sadly however, a Second Lieutenant and three IRT operatives paid the supreme price in the fire fight that ensued. The four officers who fought gallantly have already been evacuated to a military facility in Owerri.

So far, 3 AK 47 riffles, a Toyota Sienna van belonging to the terrorists and several other items of value including drugs suspected to be psychotropic substances were recovered and are being processed by the intelligence team to assist in further investigations and operations in the area. The joint security team is already dominating the general area while preparations for further operations are in top gear.

The neutralised Ikonson Commander had in several occasions posed for photographs with the fugitive leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Ibrahim Attahiru has commended the troops, the Police IRT and DSS operatives for their determination in ensuring that the operation was a success. He prayed for the repose of the souls of the gallant officers who lost their lives in the operation, stressing that their sacrifice will never be in vain.

The Nigerian Army along with other security agencies will sustain intelligence-based kinetic operations in the South East and South South until the regions are free of terrorist activities.

ACTIVIST EXPOSES FRAUD, PROSTITUTION, OTHER DUBIOUS PRACTISES IN THE NIGERIAN BANKING SYSTEM

Frontline activist and president of One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor has taken the Nigerian banking system to the cleaners.

Eholor, who enumerated several dubious practices that have become a norm in these banks, called on other citizens of the country to speak up so that the banks can be forced to effect lasting changes and contribute to the economic growth of the nation.

Ultimate Equal as he is fondly called, while speaking in Benin, stated that the bank chiefs of the country only bother with their own profits, without putting the people or the country into consideration in their practices.

Interestingly, Eholor also shut all his bank accounts with UBA Nigeria, as a protest against some of the issues he raised.

He also revealed that he has invited a team of lawyers to take them to court.

His words: “The banking system in Nigeria are very useless and porous. Banking is mutual. We all bank with our money, and banks take it and loan to others, and they are expected to pay, so that the money will revolve. But unfortunately, the ethics of banking in Nigeria is too poor.

“Every ideal bank is supposed to have a credit bureau system. It’s supposed to have an ECOFAS, where within 24 hours, you can know debtors and those who also pay as at when due. But they don’t have a system to check that.

“In this system, there is no average person. It’s either you are extremely poor or extremely rich. Any economy where there is no averagely rich, it’s very difficult for that economy to survive, because it’s the middle class that really propel the economy. In this country, it’s different.

Prostituting of female staff

“The banking system is very bad in so many ways. First of all, they recruit women, between19 years old to 27 years. When you are over 32 years, you are seen as obsolete, not useful to them. They either discard you or find something to rope you with, and fire you.

“So when they recruit you, they encourage most women to go into prostitution. They encourage these ladies to go and meet anybody for money.

“They call it target. It doesn’t sound real. How can you give a benchmark to a young girl to go and bring money in order to survive?

“You are exposing her to prostitution, and that is what the bankers have been doing. They don’t send out their children to go through that, but they put my children and your children through that, and that has to stop.

Used and dumped

According to the founder of OLF, “They don’t have the right to just fire them like that. They see them as old layers who cannot lay eggs again. They have turned theses girls to gas stations, nozzle in, nozzle out. I am saying this and can defend it, if they want to prove am lying.

Dubious bank charges, inside deals

“Also too, the bank charges are bad. What is COT? You are doing business with them, they are charging you unnecessary charges. What is bank card? They give you a bank card to access your account and charge you N1000.

“Those things are fraud. These banks are very fraudulent, and we call them seasonal bankers. When you have stocks, they bring out stocks, and lower it from the beginning. Then they will share it among themselves, and later raise it, and sell their own, and then crash the stocks. It’s called ‘inside deals’ . I know that very well. I have been banking for a very long time, so, banks have to be checked.

Let the law speak

“I am currently organising a team of lawyers to look into the fraud and excesses of the banking system. Recently, let’s say two or three years ago precisely, I gave a quarter of a billion to IBTC Bank. I was trading on mutual funds. After two years, I took out the money to do other businesses. I continued banking with them.

Rogues at loans

“When Covid 19 came, I wanted to assist my constituency with palliatives, and needed about N50 million. They asked me for everything, collateral, which I gave to IBTC. Unfortunately, they declined my request without any reason.

“IBTC is a foreign bank from South Africa. They won’t do that to South Africans who are not as rich as me, who are not as comfortable as me, so I find it very insulting. I had to go there and throw them under the bus. I closed my account, and went to UBA. I have been banking with UBA before, they did the same thing to me, I left them, and when they came back, they told me they have changed a new leaf.

“But unfortunately, they are now worse than what they used to be. I had an account with Standard Trust Bank on Akpakpava Street, Benin.

“We have women who are frying akara who need loan. They all end up going to loan sharks and they end up taking loads on 32 per cent intest. Who does that? Nigerian system is currently charging people between 28 and 29 percent interest. Nobody can survive that. We cannot focus on the government alone without talking of banks. They are part of governance.

“So there are a lot of battles we are going to fight in this country. Zenith Bank is not excluded. I started banking with the, back in Marina, and through my banker, I tried taking loans from them, but was also declined. If I, who has about seven streams of income can be declined, I, who work hard daily, and has collateral, then what is the fate of ordinary citizens? I tried Access Bank, but met the same fate. Sterling bank is also the same thing. So I don’t even know where to go with my money, but the hope I have is that one day, I will have my own bank, and give voice to the downtrodden and the voiceless.

“I am not here to vilify the banks, but I want this country to work, and the country cannot work without the banks doing their work.

“90 percent of Nigerians are denied loans by these banks, and most of these banks are Nigerian banks. Yet, 99 percent of foreigners are given these same loans, and you expect the country to go on that way?

A failed government

“If these banks keep failing us, we will be in serious trouble. A dollar today is N500. The Buhari administration is completely blind, they don’t know what they are doing. We are fighting a man who is called Patanmi, a federal minister who is sympathetic to terrorists. Here is a man who said that if they kill a Christian, he doesn’t feel the pain.

“We did the SARS protest, but up till today, we still do not have results, and we still have SARS everywhere. If you have a judge who is selling judgement, the will of the people, its SARS. If you have banks who doesn’t give loans to people who deserve the money, it’s SARS.

Banks against the people

“Banks rather give money to Lebanese,
… , Indians, pastors and politicians. Banks will tell you they have no money to assist the people who are building the economy of this country, the ordinary citizen. But they will use bullion vans to bring money to Tinubu’s house, and give money to other top politicians.

“We cannot continue like this. People must speak out.
The other day, they also said they want to take depositor’s funds that have become dormant to finance our economy. Who does that? What right do you have to take our money? What right do you have not to inform my next of kin, what right do you have not to give me my money that became dormant? The government has no right to do that.

“A country where you cannot give a lawyer a loan, a country where you cannot give loan to a police officer working to restore public peace, a country where you cannot give loan to a soldier when he needs it the most, where you cannot give a government worker a loan, where you give loans to traders to go and purchase fake drugs from China, a country you only give people who go to trade in Dubai. How will a country grow like that?

“A country that does not give mortgage to its citizens to get homes and pay gradually, a country where a state governor accused the CBN governor of printing money indiscriminately is going to end up doomed if men and women keep quiet and don’t ask for solutions.

“So, I am not going to stop until there is genuine change in this country, and I am calling on all of you to join me in this fight.

“I am taking the banks to court, and I am taking to bank regulators to court to explain why the best banking practices are missing in Nigeria”, Eholor stated.

Imo Govt Reveal Those Behind Attack On Governor’s Home

The Imo state government has responded to the attack on the country home of the Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma saying that preliminary investigation suggests that the attack may have been politically sponsored.

Earlier today, the home of the Governor at Omuma was set ablaze and according to a report by TheNation, two security men on duty in the building were killed during the attack.

It was also learnt vehicles parked at the compound and part of the building were affected by the fire.

But in a statement by Hon Declan Emelumba, Commissioner for information and strategy, he said the attackers numbering over 15 were repelled by the security operatives.

The statement reads;

“Gallant security operatives this morning repelled an attack on the Omuma country home of the governor of Imo State, Sen Hope Uzodimma.

“At about 9am today, Saturday, April 24th, a group of hoodlums numbering about 15 driving in a motorcade of three vehicles accompanied by a tipper loaded with used tyres, stormed the country home of the governor in Omuma, Oru East LGA and attempted to burn down the house.

“However, vigilant security operatives attached to the Governor’s house successfully repelled the attack and consequently minimised the damage they had planned to unleash.

“In the cross fire that ensued a few casualties were recorded. Preliminary investigation suggests that the foiled attack may have been politically sponsored

“The government has directed the relevant security agencies to expedite investigation on the incident and promptly apprehend the sponsors and their agents and bring them to justice.

Breaking: Enugu Police Command Vowed To Flush Out Hoodlums

Normalcy has returned at the New Artisan Market, Enugu but the commissioner of police in the state, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, psc is leaving no stone unturned as he has assured the resident of the state that those responsible for the obstruction of the execution of a valid court order in the market will be arrested and prosecuted adequately.

Earlier today some miscreants tried to ferment trouble in the area as Nwajanja Family of Akpugo in Nkanu East local government of Enugu State came to enforce a court order which is in their favour.

The Enugu Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe said 5 persons have been arrested in connection to the violent act which led to the destruction of properties and disturbance of public peace and they are assisting the police with their investigation.

Ndukwe in a statement also said that the CP has ordered thorough investigation to fish out the perpetrators, and urged the residents to go about their lawful businesses without fear of intimidation or harassment.

“The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, psc, has ordered the immediate launch of thorough investigation to fish out and bring to book, miscreants whose acts of violence led to the sustaining of injuries by innocent citizens, vandalism and burning of vehicles at New Artisan Market, along Enugu/Port-Harcourt Expressway, Enugu at about 4.00pm of today, 22/04/2021.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that the unscrupulous elements within the Market, became riotous and resisted the execution of a Court Order issued by High Court of Enugu State, authorizing the demolition of structures and possession of the land area covering the Market by Nwajanja Family of Akpugo in Nkanu West L.G.A. of the State. It further shows that the unwarranted rioters set up burn-fires on the road, obstructed vehicular movement, injured unascertained number of persons, vandalized two (2) caterpillars that had gone to carry out the demolition exercise and set ablaze three (3) vehicles,” the statement reads in part.

NOW THAT APGA 2021 GOVERNORSHIP PRIMARIES AND GUIDELINES TIMETABLE ARE OUT, WHAT NEXT?

They made a mountain out of a molehill with their jaundiced prism of how a party flag bearer emerges in a political party. They poured undeserved vituperations on Governor Willie Obiano, the Dr. Victor Oye-led APGA leadership and Cee Cee Soludo in a bid to rave up unmerited sympathy and emotions to their veiled cause. They alleged that these great fellows have cut a deal and that there will be no primaries by APGA. They engaged all manners of spin doctors to spew rumours and lies that the party ticket had been compromised and sold after their massive inducements got them nowhere. And they told such lies with bareface bravadoes, threatening in the process, fire and brimstone. They should apologise openly.

Even when Soludo came out in the open to canvass for free, fair and credible primaries conducted under option A4, they stuck to their ‘tales by moonlight.’

Unfazed, vindicated and guided by democratic ethos, Soludo continued with his consultations of the rank and file of the party, stressing the need for unity, togetherness and cohesion as the party gears up for the November 6, 2021 governorship election, and as important ingredients for outstanding victory.

Amazed, many informed analysts have curiously kept pondering on how they came by the fantasy that there was not going to be primaries when such conditions were eloquently enshrined in the party’s constitution and the electoral law. It is obviously not ignorance, but perhaps the fear to come to the arena and compete along democratic standards. Another commentator derisively attributed it to the Soludo fear factor.

So now that the timetable and guidelines are out, what is next?

Our arm chair politicians are most likely going to continue to heat up the system as that appears to be their only trump card. They are yet to come to grips that power belongs to the people and not the money in their pockets nor their propensity to cause or engineer violence.

On the other hand, Cee Cee Soludo has mapped out and begun a massive state wide tour of all wards and local government formations of the party. In all these, he is buoyed and encouraged by the massive goodwill and love Ndi Anambra in APGA and outside of it are showering on him. Everywhere he goes, he listens, takes copious notes and offers Solutions that bring smiles to the faces of all. Men, women, boys and girls struggle to shake hands with him, hug him and assure him of their support. He inspires hope and pure joy.

Soludo’s campaign is premised on contestations of ideas and values with a view to improving quality of life. He frowns at the do or die brand of politics, notwithstanding the fact that there was a near fatal attempt at his life and those of his supporters, plus the unfortunate murder of three of his security aides.

Soludo has put the distress behind him and is working hard for victory at the primaries. Party faithfuls are massively lining up behind him in love and belief in his ability to win the governorship election, so he can consolidate the good works of Obiano.

On June 23, 2021, they will choose him to fly the flag of their cherished party in the November 6, 2021 governorship election, because they know he is the people’s choice, nay the choice of Ndi Anambra.
