The decomposing body of Hon Justice Azuka, member of the Anambra State House of Assembly representing Onitsha North Constituency 1 has been found.
The body was discovered by the combined Security team at 2nd Niger Bridge last night.
The suspects who kidnapped and killed him have also been arrested.
Our Reporter gathered that it was when the kidnappers were arrested that they took the security officials to where they dumbed the body.
Hon Azuka was kidnapped on 24th December, 2024 along Ugwunabakpa road Inland town Onitsha.
This is sad and tragic.
We commend the security agencies for arresting the culprits but very unfortunate that the House of Assembly member had been killed and dumped before the breakthrough.
This underscores the prevailing insecurity in Anambra State. A sitting Honourable Member was kidnapped in the centre of Onitsha Town and couldn’t been rescued.
On Tuesday night it was reported that kidnappers had a field day along Awka road of Onitsha and fired several gunshots.
These criminality must stop. The Agunechemba, Udo Ga Chi and all security apparatus in the state must rise up to the occasion and save the state from reports like this.
