ABUJA — Former Labour Party VP candidate Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed says he ran with Peter Obi in 2023 out of sympathy after three top politicians rejected Obi in 2022.
“I felt bad for him and for Nigeria as a nation. I took it upon myself because I have always been a volunteer. For the sake of Nigeria, I extended that sympathy to him,” Datti said in a Symfoni interview.
He declined to name the three politicians.
