Music star, Honourable Tony Mounagor, ‘Tony One Week’, has celebrated his 25 years as gyration master.
Tony One Week started his career in music early enough, and as a member of the Kegite Club during his university days, he and others would adapt Christian songs into gyration tunes.
At the anniversary celebration held in Awka, the Anambra State capital, High Chief Dr Azubike Ekweozor, Ide Umuawulu, who chaired the event, said it was to appreciate Tony One Week for being on stage for over 25 years, and called on all gathered to appreciate the celebrant in various ways possible, even as he prayed for more divine inspiration for the music star to do more for the society.
Chief Ekweozor commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for creating enabling environment for such event to hold in the state, and prayed he achieves his goals in governance of the state.
On his part, the YPP candidate for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Honourable Uche Okafor, Wiper, said Tony One Week was his school mate and neighbor, who started shining in his career early in life.
For the Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, the event was to celebrate a man who has risen to and maintained stardom in music industry.
Others who spoke at the event, including the Principal Secretary to former Governor Willie Obiano, Sir Willie Nwokoye, Obiano’s Chief of Staff, Uzuegbuna Okagbue, and former Governorship candidate in Anambra State, Chief John Bosco Onunkwo, all wished the celebrant success in future endeavors in the entertainment industry.
