The candidate of National Conscience Party (NCP) for Anambra central senatorial election, Mazi Obumneke Ejimnkeonye Okafor, has called on candidates of APGA and PDP, Chief Victor Umeh and Iyom Uche Ekwunife, to stop wasting their funds and deceiving the electorates because both do not have what are required for effective representation of Anambra central senatorial zone in the red chamber.
The above information was given on Thursday, 03/01/2019, when a group known as Obumneke Ejimnkeonye Support Group visited the candidate of NCP and pledged to use all legal means and work for his victory. He thanked the group for its selfless supports and promised to defeat other contestants. He challenged other contestants, especially Chief Victor Umeh and Iyom Uche Ekwunife to political debate if they believe that they are better options.
Speaking further, Mazi Obumneke advised Chief Victor Umeh and Iyom Uche Ekwunife to stop politics of calumny and engage in ideological politics. He said that no other candidate for Anambra central senatorial election knows the major thing the zone, Ndi Anambra and Ndi Igbo want. He said that what our people want is self governance which can be achieved through regional autonomy but our politicians always leave the main matter and be insulting themselves and gossiping like jobless people. Furthermore, he said that most of our current political leaders are either ignorant or unconnected with the masses and that they should be replaced with reliable youth and relatively young leaders.
He concluded by saying that voters in the zone believe in him and they are convinced that he will use his natural qualities to lobby for regional autonomy in the senate and get majority of federal lawmakers to approve the bill for regional autonomy. He advised Chief Victor Umeh and Iyom Uche Ekwunife to go and rest because their time is over; if they fail to take his advice, he will expose them and retire them permanently.
