REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON EJIKEME JOY MMESOMA’S JAMB SCORE CONTROVERSY
Recall Mr. Governor that with the recent release of scores of candidates who applied for admission by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and subsequent announcement of Nkechiyere Umeh as the candidate with the highest score of 360, Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, a 19 year old student of Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Uruagu Nnewi, from Enugu State, protested to the State Government that she scored 362 and ought to have been so recognised. This has elicited interests and generated serious controversy and misgivings among the general public that the State Government in its wisdom decided to constitute a Committee of Inquiry to look into the underlisted terms of reference;
Review Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma’s JAMB Results and associated documents
Conduct interviews with relevant parties, including Ejikeme JoyMmesoma, JAMB Officials and any other individual(s) involved in the
Ill. Provide recommendations basE:d on the findings of the investigation.
The Committee invited Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, the Principal of Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, and officials of JAMB for interactive session with the Committee. JAMB officials led by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Head Public Affairs presented the detailed processes and procedures involved in JAMB admissions, the policy changes that have occurred in the release of UTME scores since 2021 and what spe.cifically transpired between the candidate – Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma with registration number: 20230639047FF in her quest to obtain her JAMB score.
JAMB revealed the different times that Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma made several requests to JAMB portal asking for her results at different hours, and each of these times (four in number), she received in her phone, same results from JAMB indicating candidate’s UTME Results to wit: Eng: 64, Phy:54, Bio: 74, Che: 57 with a total aggregate score of 249. JAMB disclosed that the candidate was well informed of her correct score from JAMB. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma had sent a request to JAMB with a different registration number showing a UTM E result of aggregate score of 362, with Eng: 98, Phy: 89, Bio: 94, and Che: 81. The results she sent differed substantially from the standard JAMB format where she got an appropriate rebuttal stating her real score of 249.
Besides, a number of red-flags was also highlighted by JAMB officials showin_ga different date of birth, different Registration Number, Notification of results template that has been discarded since 2021, amongst others. It was also evident that even the centre name “Nkemefuna Foundation (Thomas Chidoka Centre for Human Development as it was known before now) used for the examination was also manipulated where the candidate used the old name of the centre (Thomas Chidoka Centre for Human Development) in her own manipulated result sheet.
In Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma’s submission, she owned up in the presence of her principal, and the Education Secretary that the narration by the JAMB officials was a true and correct description of what transpired. She also admitted to have given a manipulated result by herself unaided, using same phone Airtel Number. According to her, she proceeded to the cybercafe (Prisca Global Computers, Uruagu, Nnewi) where she printed the results she had manipulated.
The Committee tried to find out the motive behind her action, but Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma said NOTHING. In their own submissions, the Principal Anglican Girls’ Secondary school, Uruagu Nnewi, and the Education Secretary – Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion) expressed shock at what transpired where in their presence, Mmesoma admitted to have manipulated her UTME results, deceiving the school, her immediate family and the State Government.
COMMITTEE’S FINDINGS
The results released by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) with respect to the UTME score of Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma is 249
The results paraded by Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma with aggregate score of 362 1s fake as buttressed by the very s1gn1f1cant and instructive variations in the registration number, date of birth, centre name and other

4 The Principal Anglican Girls’ Secondary School – Mrs. Edu Uche and the Education Secretary, Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion) expressed dismay at the conduct of Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma.
RECOMMENDATIONS
CONCLUSION
The Committee of Inquiry commends Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for their diligent handling of the matter and the information supplied about the interface with the candidate (see attached). We hope that this unearthing of the truth as we have discovered will go a long way in correcting the sentiments, misconceptions and deceptions that have been in the public domain.
Finally, we thank Mr. Governor for setting up this Committee, and, for the confidence reposed in the committee.
ANAMBRA STATE UNKNOWN GUNMEN SCARE ON 7th JULY,2023
I have read the Press Release of ANAMBRA State Commissioner for information and other sides of argument by Soludo Chief Press Secretary @~Christian Aburime. Let me state clearly there was no unknown gunmen that attacked anywhere in Anambra State. In one of my responses to the Press Release, I was very blunt with Chief Press Secretary to Governor Soludo. They should stop blaming the citizens. Whatever that happened today, the state Government should be blamed and held accountable.
We all know the security situation in the south east and going by what these people have been doing in Enugu and Ebonyi recently. From this Press release, the Commissioner for Information said in Paragraph 2 that “Truth of the matter is that those they saw were men of the Anambra State Vigilante Group.”
These AVG or whatever they are called have no training at all. If the State Government wanted to do security parade or show of force, they should alert the citizens. At Savoy, these men came down in sienna Bus with their faces covered with face mask and were shooting in the air. There was no provocation or anything from anyone. People became scared and started running for their lives. Even Schools around that axis closed and send school children back home. One of my friends who owe a Plaza around that axis, sent to me the video Footage and how people were running. Pictures of school children running back home. This is the beginning of the panic.
This scenario is a typical example of what happened three days ago at Nkwelle junction by Housing, where 5 people were kidnapped in a day light. People around thought it was the AVG, until it was obvious they are unknown gunmen and kidnappers. The news spread like wildfire. Those around that area even took a video of the kidnap.
What happened at savoy, repeated itself at Aroma, even at Bridge axis. The same AVG as Mr Commissioner stated in his Press release, approached Aroma axis of the flyover, jump down from their sienna Buses and started shooting up in the air. People ran for dear lives. The Army Patrol came and pursued them. They would have wasted those boys today, before they were told it is from AVG people. The Army slapped a hell out of some of them for that unprofessional behaviour. The Army in their truck were asking them, why are you shooting? You can ask those women selling things at Aroma today, to narrate it very well for you.
The question is, why creating the panic when there is nothing happening. So don’t blame those who were not circulating of the shooting. Did shooting take place at those places. It happened.
So if there is anyone to blame, blame your SA on security and those managing the security situation in the state. What they did today was so unprofessional.
Thank you.
I am Paschal Candle.
Miscreants Enforcing Sit-at-home I’m Enugu Arrested
Enugu Government on Thursday, announced that many hoodlums enforcing the illegal sit-at-home in the state have been arrested.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Chidiebere Onyia.
It is noteworthy that many enemies of Enugu State and Igbo land, the hoodlums, anarchists, and criminal elements, who hide under freedom agitation to perpetrate destruction, violent crimes, as well as those who engage in scaremongering through fake videos and images, have been tracked down, apprehended and are being brought to book.
“We are winning the war and therefore call on Ndi Enugu to volunteer information to the authorities on any suspicious person and movement as well as those who use the social media to spread rumours and instigate panic among the members of the public.”
The statement further reminded the “citizens and residents of the state that work, business, schooling and other legitimate endeavours will continue tomorrow Friday, July 7, 2023.
The government directs offices, schools, business premises, and markets, including Ogbete Main Market, among others, to open for business. Failure to comply with this directive will be deemed as willful undermining of government’s policy and efforts to restore full working days, productivity, and entrepreneurship in the state, and will as such be met with appropriate sanctions.
“Government urges members of the public to disregard any scaremongers and go about their businesses, as security measures are fully in place to continue to enforce law and order and safeguard lives and property.

Nigeria is Not Practicing Democracy- Anaenugwu
Ideally, Democracy is Government of the people by the people and for the people but Nigeria democracy is a system of Government designed and developed by the elites for the benefit of the elites ,their children and their friends and to protect their economic and political interest against the welfare and wishes of the majority of the people.
The middle class whom the elites have used as modern slaves are now liberated through the power of social media and henceforth all the hidden secrets must be exposed.
Nigeria democracy rewards criminals and encourages laziness while frustrating innovation and productivity. The people through the power of social will surely set themselves free .
Nigeria with over 200 million people can no longer be controlled by command and control system . Agencies like NYSC,INEC ,JAMB and many others have outlived it’s usefulness and should be scrapped and moved to the Regions .The present constitution of Nigeria makes Government jobs too attractive that everybody wants to occupy Government office, hence the do or die struggle to be in Government work. The present system of Democracy is not sustainable and power should be devolved to the regions for Nigeria democracy to survive.

TIME TO TAKE BACK ALAIGBO- Spencer Anienwelu
It is no doubt that Nigerian leaders have failed its citizens, and the Political elites have marginalized and impoverished the people, which has led to the emergence of separatist groups in Nigeria. This is an unequivocal fact.
When some of us saw the lack of sincerity in this whole agitation and cried out, we were labelled Sabo.
It is clear how to go about actualizing self-determination in a Democratic setting. The international laid down rules are clear. The Montevideo Conventions spells it out.
The Scottish example is there also to emulate, especially after suffering unnecessary loss of Igbo lives during the Biafra war.
WHEN WILL NDI IGBO START TELLING OURSELVES THE TRUTH ?
It was clear that IPOB never intended to go about it in a peaceful manner when they refused to float and support a Political party and have Reps and Senators speak for them in Parliament just like the Scottish have done with the Scottish National Party which was formed in 1934 to bring about referendum for Scottish independence.
We saw this misguided agitation and asked questions, but we’re told to be quiet and labelled as Sabo.
We warned of the dangers of arming non- state actors and the inherent state of anarchy it would induce in our region, but politicians and Igbo elders who cherished IPOB for its nuisance value kept quiet.
Many of us live in the UK and the USA, and even when faced with the overwhelming compelling evidence of how MNK hijacked the End SARS protest, and used his far reaching radio Biafra platform to incite gullible and jobless Youths and his followers, to disarm and kill soldiers and Police personnel and those they perceive to be Sabotuers , many still feign ignorance of the gravity of his crime against the State .
He encouraged them to break Prisons and taught them on air how to make Molotov Cocktales. He even boasted of giving just one order, and Tinubus Hotel was set on fire. He told them to burn the airport in Lagos, etc. TVC news was burnt down. We know who owns TVC News. The audio is easily available on YouTube.
CAN ANYONE GET AWAY WITH TELLING LONDON YOUTHS ON THE RADIO TO KILL UK POLICE AND SOLDIERS AND IT IS INDEED CARRIED OUT WITHOUT BEING LOCKED UP FOR A LONG TIME ?
After his broadcasts, we saw Prison breaks and ambushing of Soldiers and Police men and women and then the killings started.
They moved to Rivers State/ Portharcourt but Gov. Wike did not tolerate them and for the first time we heard of a civilian putting a bounty on the head of a sitting Governor in Nigeria. MNK put a bounty of N100m on the head of Gov. WIKE.
Ndigbo still in support of IPOB started screaming that Wike had brought in Soldiers to kill unarmed Igbo Youth in Obigbo.
Time to admit we supported evil.
Gov. Wike made Rivers uncomfortable for them and they moved to Imo State where ndi Imo handled them with kids gloves and we saw all manner of evil unleashed in Imo State to the extent of going to burn down the country home of Gov. Hope Uzodinma. We saw beheadings and Cannibalism.
TUFIIAAAAA KWA !!! ARUU !!!
Igbo Elite and elders did not condemn it loud enough perhaps because Governor Hope Uzodinma is an APC Governor.
Gov. Hope Uzodinma brought in the Soldiers and ndi Igbo started the complaint again that he brought them in to kill his people.
Gov. Hope is still battling with them in Imo State and has managed to push them out now into Anambra State.
Now Anambra is the ground zero of all manner of evil in Alaigbo. Kidnapping, extortion, armed robbery, car jacking, ritual killings, etc.
When a people openly say they do not want Police or Soldiers on their streets, then the result is what we have in Igboland today. ANARCHY.
Onye kpara nku ahuhu kporo ngwere obia.
Nwata na agba surugede amaro na surugede bu egwu ndi mmuo.
SOLUTION:
Openly lay blame at the right quarters. No sacred cows.
Carry out an investigation into the activities of IPOB since 2012 when elders like Dr Dozie Ikedife and Gen Achuzie ,Bar Emeka Emekesiri who started IPOB.Find out the motive behind the formation of original IPOB by the Elders.
Federal Government should set up committee to look into various agitation in the south east in order to find lasting solution.
Federal Government should note that Simon Ekpa and Nnamdi Kanu are pursuing the same thing and more deadly people will stand up tomorrow if the root cause of injustice is not addressed .

Mmesoma: Emeka Ugwuonye Calls for Immediate Resignation of JAMB Registrar
Harvard trained attorney and founder of Due Process Advocates International, attorney Emeka Ugwuonye, has urged Nigerians to join in the call for the immediate resignation of Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.
The call is coming after the examination body in a controversial circumstance on Sunday, announced the withdrawal of Ejikeme’s UTME result over alleged manipulation of her scores.
Several reactions had trailed the abrupt decision of the examination body, with many accusing it of not carrying out thorough investigation before making their pronouncement public.
Also, Mmesoma while speaking over the accusation against her, said she is innocent and denied ever falsifying her scores.
Meanwhile, Emeka Ugwuonye in a statement stated that failure of JAMB to understand and explain how a person like Mmesoma Ejikeme could manipulated the scoring system of the examination body, shows that JAMB cannot guarantee the basic integrity of the testing and its scoring system.
The human rights lawyer, also noted that failure of JAMB to protect Mmesoma Ejikeme from unnecessary public ridicule amount to a shocking betrayal of millions of Nigerian children who go through the JAMB testing system.
The statement reads, “DPA invites all well-meaning Nigerians to join in the call for the resignation of the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB).
“What is his offense?
JAMB admitted that the critical national testing system it runs could be manipulated so easily in ways JAMB cannot understand or explain. Failure to understand and explain how a person like Mmesoma Ejikeme could have manipulated the JAMB scoring system and printing of JAMB scores means that JAMB cannot guarantee the basic integrity of the testing and scoring system. Such a failure is a monumental threat to national security.
“Failure to protect the minor, Mmesoma Ejikeme, is a shocking betrayal of millions of Nigerian children who go through the JAMB testing system. It should be obvious that Miss Ejikeme herself could not have been the one that manipulated her scores, if indeed her scores were manipulated. Even if such manipulation was done by her parents or anyone else, Miss Ejikeme would been a victim of such manipulation. If she were considered a victim, JAMB should have realized the need to protect her from the kind of psychological harm a child could suffer in such a circumstance. However, the manner in which JAMB went about its allegations of manipulation failed to show any concern for the well-being of a minor within its sphere of care.
“Besides the question of whether the result was manipulated or not, it is a very worrisome development that JAMB would fail to protect the vulnerable in circumstances where there are reasons to believe that the candidate affected might not have been complicit in any wrongdoing.
“Millions of Nigerian youths and their parents look up to JAMB each year as the pathway to their future. Also, the country of Nigeria looks up to JAMB each year as the gateway through which its future leaders must pass. To find that JAMB, by its own admission, could not justify the basis trust reposed on it and has failed to guarantee basic integrity of such critical and fateful process, accountability is called for.
“With such glaring incompetence, the current leadership of JAMB should do the honorable thing by resigning. It is a grave danger for the country to continue to trust the agency under its current leadership. We believe that demanding for the resignation of the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of JAMB is a fair demand for accountability and a good lesson to all others who hold office based on public trust.

They lied, Dangote Refinery still under Construction- Construction worker Spills
As Nigerians await the first production of the newly commissioned Dangote Refinery this July to ameliorate the sufferings of Nigerians occasioned by the abrupt removal of petrol subsidy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, there are doubts in some quarters that this expectation will not be met.
In it’s twilight, the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari commissioned the refinery, a development described by local and international observers as a deal breaker.
Reports say the Dangote Refinery, located in Lekki Free zone, Lagos, is capable of producing 650,000 barrels per day. It’s also adjudged the biggest oil refinery in Africa and the biggest single-train facility in the world.
A video sighted by IgbereTV which purportedly emanated from Dangote Refinery, shows some construction workers at the refinery, claiming that the refinery is not yet ready for production as the general public have been made to believe. The supposed construction workers, claim that the public have been lied to by the Nigerian authority as work is still ongoing at the refinery days to it’s expected first production this July.

Enugu Govt Vows to Shutdown Institutions that Observes Sit-at-home
Enugu State government on Tuesday, vowed to close down schools and markets observing the illegal one week sit-at-home order by Simon Ekpa.
This was contained in a statement signed by Professor Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government.
News Band gathered that some schools and businesses in Enugu State did not open for operation in apparent obidience to the sit-at-home declared by the Finland-based criminal agitator, Simon Ekpa.
Though, this is despite a statement by the leadership of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra that it didn’t declare any sit-at-home.
Enugu State government in a statement while vowing to punish institutions observing the sit-at-home said, “The attention of the Enugu State Government has been drawn to reports on social media this Tuesday morning that proprietors of private schools in the state are sending messages to their pupils and students to the effect that they should not come to school from today on account of the illegal one week sit-at-home order allegedly declared by faceless non-state actors in the state.
“The Enugu State Government is alarmed and dismayed by this development and hereby warns that any school that fails to open and function normally from today will have its license revoked immediately.
“The Enugu State Government also extends the same warning to market unions and shop owners in the state. All markets and shops in the various markets must be open to customers from today or be shut down indefinitely.
Government reiterates its ban on any form of illegal sit-at-home in all parts of the state, as it is evil and antithetical to all values we hold dear as a people, such as the Igbo spirit of industry, hardwork, creativity and productivity.
“The general public is urged to go about their normal daily activities as adequate security measures have been put in place to protect lives and property.
“Government will no longer sit by and watch faceless groups and misguided individuals issue illegal orders, dictating to us how to lead our lives, when to go to work or market and when our children go to school, while they ply their trade and their children go to school. This is no longer acceptable and must be confronted and defeated with every power and resources at our disposal.
“The State Government also warns that it will deploy the full instrumentality of the law such as the Cybercrime Act 2015 to go after and prosecute anybody, individuals, groups and organisations intentionally encouraging the illegal sit-at-home order, instilling fear on residents, raising false alarm to disturb public peace, etc, through fake news sharing and propagation of falsehood connected with the illegal sit-at-home order on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, etc.
“This, however, is by no means, depriving citizens freedom of speech and information as enshrined in the constitution.”

UTME: There’s A Plot To Deny My Daughter Scholarship – Father Of Girl Accused Of Forgery
Mr. Ejikeme Romanus, father of the teenage student accused of forging her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UMTE) result has alleged that there is a conspiracy against his daughter.
Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma has been in the news since Sunday when the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) accused her of forgery.
According to Fabian Benjamin, spokesman of the examination body, the student scored 249 but changed her result to 362.
But Mmesoma’s father, who is tricycle rider told Leadership that his daughter could not have committed forgery.
He said his daughter had showcased sterling academic brilliance right from her nursery school days.
Ejikeme said, “We are from Oduma in Aninri local government in Enugu state, but, we live in Uruagu, Nnewi. Mmesoma is my first child. She had always taken first position from the time she was in the nursery school at Ogbunike Central school.
“When she was at Oba Girls Secondary school, Mmesoma was representing the school in competitions. So when she changed to Anglican Girls Secondary school, her teachers in Oba Girls came and pleaded with me, begging me to retain her in their school, that she is promoting the name of their school.
“Mmesoma cannot manipulate her UMTE score. I don’t believe what they are saying. They just want to transfer that scholarship to another person. That is why they are saying that Mmesoma did not make that score.
“It is even her (Mmesoma’s) friends that saw her score on the internet and started calling her before she went and printed it out. We have the print-out, it is with us now,” Mmesoma’s father stated.
Mr. Ejikeme lamented that his daughter had been downcast since her visit to the commissioner of education from where she was taken to office of the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to the father, the development has so much traumatized her, as the society now sees as a fraudster.
When contacted, the public relations officer of the Anambra state police command, Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, said Mmesoma’s case had not been reported to the police in the state.
“We are not aware of the case (Mmesoma’s UMTE score forgery). So, I can’t comment on the issue,” he stated.
Meanwhile ,following the alleged manipulation of result, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has banned Anambra student, Mmesoma Ejikeme from taking the board’s examinations for three years.
The examination body also maintained that it concluded high-level investigations before indicting Mmesoma.
Fabian Benjamin, the spokesman of JAMB disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen.
He said, “In the meantime, the management of the Board, after considering the weighty infraction committed by Ms. Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma, and in line with its established procedures, has withdrawn her 2023 UTME result and also barred her from sitting the Board’s examination for the next three years.
Benjamin further reiterated the board’s earlier position that the UTME result being fronted by Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma was fake, adding that the candidates’ account was an attempt to re-write the truth.
“Consequently, the Board would like to reassure Nigerians that its system was neither tampered with nor compromised as the candidate simply falsified a copy of a result slip of a candidate named “Asimiyu Mariam Omobolanle”, who sat the UTME in 2021 and scored 138. It is also instructive to note that the candidate, in her statement, has inadvertently revealed the rightful owner of the result she is parading when she pointed out that the QR code on the result slip showed the actual owner of the said result before she peddled a lie in an attempt to obfuscate the truth.
“To witness the unassailable position of the Board regarding this obvious falsehood, the general public is, therefore, urged to endeavour to scan the QR code on the result slip to see its actual owner before it was mutilated. It is to be noted that the QR code encapsulates the UTME result of each candidate, hence, what is on the result sheet is nothing other than the interpretation of the information on this QR code.
“Furthermore, the public is also to note that the Board stopped issuing Notification of Result slips after the 2021 UTME for the simple reason that candidates were falsifying them. Consequently, the Board has been issuing actual UTME RESULT Slips (not notification of results ) since 2022 complete with the photograph of each candidate,” he said.
While speaking on the bad publicity the whole situation has generated for the board, Benjamin said that it was disturbed as this is not the first time such fraudulent claims have been made.
He recalled an incident in 2021 where a candidate, John Chinedu Ifesinachi wrote a letter to the Board, threatening to sue for N2b damages, only for him and his counsel to tender unreserved apology when the candidate eventually confessed his crime in the face of incontrovertible facts in an open investigation observed by several national public institutions including the Public Complaints Commission, National Human Rights Commission, Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Council, Servicom and media houses.
The board also regretted the different colouration added by some “unwholesome” interests who are ready to lead the candidate to a destructive end, urging those doing that to retract
“Another frightening dimension to the unfolding drama is the unwholesome interest of some nefarious elements, who to all intents and purposes, are determined to goad the candidate on this unproductive path as any casual observer would observe with the obviously stage-managed video aired by Ms. Ejikeme. The Board urges these confusionists to have a rethink as their evil machinations would soon come to light”
“Again, the Board restates its readiness for genuine scrutiny as this case would not be the first time and might not even be the last of such shenanigans. At the end of the day, the truth would manifest and the Board vindicated.
“In the meantime, the management of the Board urges members of the public to examine critically the issue at hand and avoid fake news trafficking,” the statement said.
