NGIGE CONGRATULATES SOLUDO, HAILS BUHARI

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige has congratulated the winner of the November 6, 2021 Anambra State Governorship Election, Professor Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Senator Ngige, in a goodwill message by his Media Office Wednesday, congratulated the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for a resounding victory in the poll, saying it is a victory well deserved.

He said, “Ndi-Anambra have spoken with this resounding victory. Having contested in 2010 with Soludo, who was then the PDP candidate and myself in ACN; an election in which I was ‘awarded’ the second position even though I won outright and Soludo third, I knew that with his tenacity of purpose and drive, he would one day make it to the seat of the Governor of Anambra State.
“It is a case in patience and endurance, an aspiration nurtured to serve the people with all his strength, I seriously believe. Ndi-Anambra I know, will hence, entertain no excuses . Much has been given, hence the expectation is very high. Knowing Soludo as I do however , I have no doubt that our people have made an excellent choice by voting him. ”

Sen. Ngige also congratulated the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a free, fair and credible election, even with the initial hiccups posed by the malfunctioning of the Biometric Voters’ Accreditation (BVAS) system in some places.

“ A solid opportunity is here offered to INEC to brace up to the challenges posed by the Anambra Election, which he labeled “a guinea pig election ” especially with the debut of the BVAS technology for a more credible, free and fair elections in future.

“ At this auspicious juncture, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari deserves a glowing national tribute. I put on record, that Mr. President had on three different occasions, assured through me, that the Anambra governorship election would be free and fair.
“The last of such occasion being on October 14, 2021, when I conveyed the fear and the consternation of the religious leaders , elder statesmen and traditional rulers of Anambra State, more especially that of his friend, the Archbishop of the Onitsha Metropolitan Province, His Grace, Dr. Valerian Okeke to him in his office.
“Not only did the President ensure a level playing field for all the political parties , he directed all the security agencies to deploy into Anambra to protect and secure voters and electoral workers. A promise kept!
“ Worthy of commendation in this direction, is the professionalism exhibited by the security agencies – the army, police, DSS and the Civil Defence during the exercise, in compliance with the wish of the President for the good people of Anambra State .

“ The election has come and gone and it is very free, fair and credible. Mr. President has in deed lived true to his assurances to Ndi-Anambra and by this very fact, demonstrated once again, that he is no enemy to Ndi-Igbo. What a better value to democracy, than a legacy of credible elections, in which the will of the people reigns supreme. May we therefore hail this true democrat!

Continuing, Ngige appealed to all those who contested the exalted position with Professor Soludo to sheath their swords.
“ Only one person would emerge a winner in this contest, more so, when the seat of the Governor of Anambra State can only be occupied by one person at any given time. I therefore urge the other candidates to be good losers and join hands with the Governor-elect to give the state the best.

“As an elder statesman in the state, I have no choice than to irrevocably stand with my dear Ndi-Anambra in their desire for an unfettered freedom to choose their leaders. It is a legacy we must bequeath to the posterity of our people.

“Similarly, I urge Professor Soludo to be magnanimous in victory . Time is here for him to reach out to everybody, including those who aspired with him in his APGA, as well as others who contested on the platforms of other political parties, notably, the PDP, APC, YPP and ZLP, so as to join hands to elevate and restore our state to its enviable position in Igbo land and Nigeria in general .
“ There is no doubt that our dear state, visibly veered off the track of progress since the last three years, when the incumbent Governor started suffering from a second term gubernatorial fatigue.

“On my own part, I’m willing to assist him consolidate the gains made by the previous governors. I will make available to him, human and material resources, to make another successful Governor in our dear State.
“Instructive also, is that our hands of fellowship to Professor Soludo is reciprocal, him being a leading member of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council(PEAC) that has been assisting the President’s Economic Sustainability team, led by His Excellency, the Vice President in getting our economy out of the doldrums with the COVID-19 pandemic .”

“ I want to also thank the Anambra electorate for coming out despite all the fears of violence, killings and kidnappings, weeks before the election.
“In commending them, I also thank the “known and unknown gunmen” for seeing reason with the elders that Ndi-Anambra be allowed to vote for the leader of their choice.

“May God continue to bless Anambra State while we collectively work to take it to a greater and more enviable height,” the statement added.

How Anambra Expired Politicians Swindle Andy Ubah Of Billions Of Naira

…. Dep Gov, Okeke, Ibezi, Ezenwankwo, Nwabili, Son Chief Culprits

The news of Andy Uba’s abysmal outing and failure to win any local government area in the just conducted Anambra governorship election held on Saturday, 6 November 2021 will linger for many years to come.

Reports had it that the overwhelming victory of APGA’s candidate, Chukwuma Soludo at the poll didn’t come to Andy Uba as a shock. What came to him as a rude shock was not the victorious outing of APGA/Soludo but the billions of Naira he spent buying expired politicians from other political parties, especially the ruling party, APGA, with assurances from the aforementioned political merchants that they were going to deliver him at the poll.

The results from the wards and polling units of these retired politicians had shown that the hawks swindled the Uga born politician.

For instance, the disgruntled deputy Governor of Anambra state who blackmailed and betrayed his boss, Gov Willie Obiano was said to had received armoured vehicles valued at 350m Naira from Andy/APC, 500m naira cash for the election yet he lost his Enugwu Ukwu polling unit, Enugwu Ukwu ward and his Njikoka local government area.

Ifeanyi Ibezi betrayed APGA and Gov Obiano who made him politically relevant and pampers him with mouthwatering contracts and even made him chairman of housing corporation and DG Youth mobilization, deceived Andy and boasted to Andy that he was the one that made Obiano second term victory possible and the only one who wins election in Idemili North.

News from the streets of Anambra had it that Ibezi got 250m from Andy after he decamped and another 250m as mobilization for the election, all he did was snatching ballot boxes from polling units in his Abatete Ward, when he found out he couldn’t match APGA’s supporters who came out en-mass to vote Soludo.

It was reported that he employed the services of thugs and violent killers with guns just in Abatete but he was neutralised by APGA and security agents, he was beaten and arrested him.

Ibezi could not deliver Idemili North as APC came a distant 3rd in the Idemili North. His desperation led to the cancellation of Abatete ward election. It appeared that he tempered with INEC’s result sheets.

He has a criminal case hanging on his neck by that act of hijacking INEC result sheets. He has earned a new nick name from Ndị Idemili as OchiThugs showing he is just an overrated political thug with no electoral value save for VIOLENCE. APGA Idemili North members were attacked on the eve of the election at Asha’s residence by thugs suspected to be thugs from Ibezi and Chibuzo Nkpor, also known as Onataludikemma.

Okwudili Ezenwankwo (Ewepudike) was given APGA House of Representatives ticket with SSCE external certificate written at above age 50years. He betrayed APGA and Ndị Nanka who pleaded for his ticket when a Lady from Umunze would had been the candidate of APGA by dubiously jumping to APC in Owerri, a report our tabloid carried, which, he initially denied but later it became obvious that he did not only collected 50m for himself but cunningly collected another 150m from Andy with a promise to mobilize all Agberos in Anambra to deliver Andy and APC yet he failed in his polling unit, ward and Orumba North and South Constituency where APGA beat him black and blue.

The next is Chinwe Nwabili, former speaker of Anambra state House of Assembly under APGA, she didn’t only betray APGA with her son Nonso who was SSA to Governor Willie Obiano but also betrayed and swindled the AAC candidate, Chidozie Nwankwo (Overdoze) who she ought to be his running mate. She and her son allegedly connived and duped Andy Uba of 150m with a boast that they owned Ogbaru local government area where she had consistently failed to win election in the federal House for 8years.

The result from Ogbaru showed that she failed in her polling unit, her ward and the entire Ogbaru LGA where Andy Uba of APC came a distant third position also.

These con men and women politicians who swindled Andy of his hard earned money are the reason Andy was being called The Political Mugu no 1 of Anambra State. He’s indeed a political Mugu.

It was gathered that Andy is demanding for the refund of his funds from these EXPIRED POLITICIANS who in the actual sense duped him and fingered his political anus with maggot filled filthy and tainted political fingers.

Sorry about this Andy nwa Uba.

Soludo, Val and Ubah Battles for Votes in Ihiala Local Govt

The Anambra State Governorship Election gets interesting today as supplementary election holds in the Ihiala Local Government Area of the South-East state to determine the next governor of the state.

Anambra has 21 local government areas and elections were held in 20 LGAs over the weekend.

INEC Chief Returning Officer for the election, Prof Florence Obi, had said the Commission was not able to deploy electoral officers to Ihiala due to the volatile security situation in the area.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar had subsequently declared the governorship poll inconclusive and said that a supplementary election would hold in 362 polling units in Ihiala LGA today, November 9.

Out of the 20 local governments declared, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Charles Soludo, was declared winner in 18; the candidate of the Young Progressive Party, Ifeanyi Ubah, won in one; while the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Valentine Ozigbo, took the other one. The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Andy Uba, had yet to win any LGA.

According to the Director, Voter Education and Publicity, of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Victor Aluko, there are 148,407 voters in Ihiala.

Aluko, who spoke on a television programme on Monday, said though the APGA candidate, Soludo, won 18 of the 20 LGAs where election were held, he cannot be declared winner yet because the total votes in Ihiala were more than the margin of votes by the ex-Central Bank of Nigeria governor.

Currently, the margin of lead is 52,624 votes between the candidate of APGA and the PDP. The candidate of APGA scored 103,146 votes while the candidate of PDP scored 51,322 votes. The margin of lead is 52,624. The total votes in Ihiala is 148,407. Mathematically, the margin of lead is lower than the outstanding votes in Ihiala. So, to be fair, we need to conclude that election Ihiala before we can move forward,” he said.

An APGA chieftain, Uche Nworah, in a chat with our correspondent on Tuesday, however, expressed confidence that Soludo would emerge winner, adding that though there are 148,407 in Ihiala, only about 40,000 voters have voters’ cards.

Nworah also said going by the voting pattern in the 20 local governments, victory was sure for his party.

Efforts to get the comments of an aide to the PDP candidate, Aziza Uko, proved abortive.

INEC National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee), Festus Okoye, in a statement on Monday, said voting would commence in Ihiala from 10am and end by 4pm today.

However, our correspondent gathered that voting had yet to commence in Ihiala as of 12pm when this report was filed on Tuesday, even as election materials have begun to arrive in the area.

According to INEC, over 2.5 million registered voters were eligible to participate in the governorship election in Anambra with a population of about five million people but fears of the worsening security situation in the South-East state and threats by the proscribed separatist group, the Indigenous People of Biafra, over the detention of its embattled leader, Nnamdi Kanu, have been said to be responsible for the low voters’ turn out during the November 6 governorship election.

ANAMBRA 21: GALLANT ANAMBRA VOTERS HAVE RESTORED THE GLORY OF NDIGBO

The famous Anambra Spirit of never say die was on full display on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Gallant Ndi Anambra did two fascinating things: one, they bought into Cee Cee Soludo’s grand vision of transforming Anambra into a liveable and prosperous smart Megacity and two, they stopped the rampaging renegades from conquering Igbo land for their paymasters. Yes, the election was consequential because taking over Anambra State is analogous to taking over the entire Igbo land. Their sponsored mission was to destroy the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the fledging political vehicle with which Ndigbo can deploy to negotiate their place in Nigeria.

Notwithstanding the security challenges, the massive inducements by the renegades and the frustratingly slow INEC process, they patiently persevered to vote for APGA and Soludo. There were instances where wives defied their husbands and voted for APGA, daughters and sons looked their fathers or mothers eye ball to eye ball and said ‘NO’ to going with the rascals and the enemies of our people. By their actions, they truly demonstrated that ‘Anambra no be Uzodinma’s Imo’ and we have been informed that our brothers and sisters in the other Igbo states and indeed all over the world are cheering for this feat, which is psychologically uplifting. They have tamed the roaring lions and we won’t begrudge them if they take the glory. What a sweet victory against the deviants.

The fight to restore the respect and dignity of Ndigbo was ferocious but was won by a marketable candidate, dogged and vigilant electorate and an improved technology deployed by the electoral body. These torpedoed the now myopic electoral malpractices that the rascals used to destructively coast to victories in the past. Obviously, the times have changed, regarding both the electoral process and the voters’ behaviour and habits.

The reality is that they are our brothers and sisters that need rehabilitation. We believe that Soludo will give them soft landing so they can join him in making Anambra the preferred place to live happily, learn happily, work happily, invest happily and enjoy happily. We congratulate and commend all of us who stood up to be counted for the sweet victory. By jove, let’s celebrate!

Be of good cheer!!
