I watched a Video that gave me goose pimples, set my teeth on edge and brought back unforgivable memories..
It was a Video of group of Young Men wearing Black camouflage shared on Facebook, and it was said to be the Militia Nnamdi trained as South East Security Network (ESN) just like the Amotekun of the West and series of others in the North.
I know many of his followers are with Very Hot blood and they can’t reason with anybody or likes to be corrected, which also is fears of many people from South East , since they can’t be reasoned with, what they will become if given such unchecked powers that include the lives of us and they having weapons at their disposals is the main reason many will never be comfortable with arrangement shrouded around them.
They always think that in the event of having Biafra, that they are number one citizens, while the rest are infidels, they created a serious ism and schism which breeds fear and alienate them from supposed members of the Nation they project.. A method that must be changed, to have an impact on people and minds..
May be he wasn’t aware that “Nwanyi choba Nwunye edi ya okwu, osi ya nye ya Nmanu ka owelu ta Akwu Ojukwu *(When a quarrelsome Wife wants altarcation with step wife, she will demand Palm oil to be used in eating Palm Nut called Ojukwu which produces the best of same Oil).
If it eluded him, he should remember they have killed us for less crime and they always want provocation, so they can spill more of our blood and the best we can do is to shout and call on UNITED NATION, which we know are deaf and dumb when it comes to Africa or her litany of problems but during the carnage of 1967 there was this advise which says “One Ndiro gbalu gburugburu na Eche Ndi ya Nche, mgbe nile” .. Moving on..
My business is not that of the West or South, but that of our own hood (Alaigbo) because from all indication today, everything has gone Tribalistic, and we should know that it pays to weight options so that previous expirince will serve as our teacher and Guard, so we can err at the side of caution…
Read my Lips, what other tribes does and get laughed over, if we try same, they match down Military and when they come, they kill our Youths in thousands and life goes on, then the bereaved will be consoled with Ndo, as if Ndo will give them a replacement Children, which calls for “Onye Ndiro gbalu gburugburu once again”.. .
I know many of his Cult followers won’t cool down to read this, but this is more of present and inevitable danger, so we must start a search for the missing Black GOAT while the day is bright, as when it is Dark, it will simply be assimilated with the darkness and finding such become a Mirage.
During the days when ABA were bedlock of Robbers, they robbed so hard and provoke the Shoe Makers to Form a security outfit called BAKASSI which helped to sanitize Aba, perish those Robbers and Anambra states reached out and imported them to battle our own scourge.
They came with lots of fanfare , they also clean the Extra proud Robbers that took over the state and most of South East , but…..
Less than a year along the line, they became Horror that terrifies Terror, they terrified and haunted the land so much that nobody was safe again and everybody wants an end to the once Loved outfit because they changed to a Menace..
The evil that was used in triumphant to oust our Thieves turned around to serve as Albatross..
In the days of Massob, they became more lethal than Herdsmen, they decides who starts Building house at 33 in and many places in ONUICHA, they forced Landlords to accept 2,000 Naira as House rent from Tenants , the rest given to them as Ndi Massob, if you dare say No, they will beat you inches to your death..
They formed securities that harrass all streets and tell each house how much they must be paying as Dues to support them..
If you buy a Car, they task you how much you should be paying as insurance to them and they no Born you well to negotiate or decline, it was a Caliphate of the doomed ..
It was a terrible period, but once the town were liberated of those terror that came as Freedom fighters, but turned out as Freedom takers , people forgot the Pains they passed through them ..
This time we can’t open our Eyes and restart a Monstrous exercise that will wipe us away from within.
If you want to know how this will end, just say something as correctional measure that is in conflict with the Lord they worship said through Radio or any of his autocratic method , He thinks that everybody must Kow tow or get run out of town..
When you do so, just relax for 20 Minutes and see how many insults they will haul at you, how many death threats will accompany it and notice that not even one dissent voice will say from within them , let’s hear him out or consider his own version.. Or let’s reason as Brothers, they only believe, it is either you accept them verbatim or they crush you with words and act.
If they can be intolerant over an opinion shared on Social Media, imagine what they will do if they have the powers to maim or destroy..then they will rape your household and demand you pay them for doing you that honors.. Moving on..
The reason they poscribe IPOB and not Herdsmen or BH is to have enough reason to make shooting target of the boys who pledge allegiance to the Sect , so we must not hand over the lives of our Youths to be wasted for Utopian ejaculation.
The RASCALITY of the boy who wants to lead this group will always enjoy seeing our Lands terrified, as he won’t be around to join us in the penury the unmitigated disaster will spew..
Point to Note… This Boys can be useful but with eludite directions, thoughts tutored and efforts guided with precision. But leaving them under the direction of one who is not circumspential means disaster..
South East should have a unified Security outfit, but not one headed by a boy who loves to Lord over everybody..the Government should do it for proper direction and coordination..
NDIGBO have the right to start an outfit, but are we ready for the consequences which may include another invasion of our peaceful land and render same into Ruins..
If we fall into this trance of NNAMDI, be rest assured that Herdsmen will be friendlier than what we get.. After all Ana esi na isi aru ama Uto Nsi..
Good Morning Umunne and I sit by the brooks to imagine the insults they will throw at me, but my problem is much more than having tantrums thrown, but getting our lives secured in a worthy environment.
I am LAST BORN MPA NNUKWU and I come to make Common sense.. Mazi Odera
Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the kidnap of over 300 students from the Government Science Secondary School in Kankara, Katsina State. In a recorded 4 minutes 28 seconds audio released on Monday night December 14, Abubakar Shekau, said contrary to what is being reported, they are yet to make any demands.
HumAngle quotes Shekau as saying, “What happened in Katsina was done to promote Islam and discourage un-Islamic practices as Western education is not the type of education permitted by Allah and his Holy Prophet. “They are also not teaching what Allah and his Holy Prophet commanded. They are rather destroying Islam. It may be subtle, but Allah the Lord of the skies and earths knows whatever is hidden. May Allah promote Islam. May we die as Muslims.” “In a nutshell, we are behind what happened in Katsina.”
The Int’l Society for Civil Liberties & Rule of Law is dedicating this 11-page special report on: new wave of anti Christian butcheries in Africa’s Coastal Christian States and Nigeria, to all the victims of anti Christian butcheries and other forms of violence against Christians in Nigeria and beyond the borders of the country. The victims of Nigeria’s anti Christian violence we are dedicating this special report to include the massacred, the maimed, the disfigured, the amputated, the traumatized, the raped, the disappeared, the displaced, the homelenslaved, the converted and the threatened. The special report is also mortally and immortally popularly demanded and fallout of our interactions with the spirits of those who were violently departed on the grounds of their religion and belief as well as firm promises we made to them.
This special report was researched and compiled for Intersociety by Emeka Umeagbalasi, Criminologist & Graduate of Security Studies and Intersociety Board Chair; assisted by Barr Chinwe Umeche, Barr Chidimma Udegbunam, Barr Obianuju Igboeli, Barr Ndidiamaka Chinaza Bernard and Comrade Samuel Kamanyaoku. Intersociety is reachable though +2348174090052, info@intersociety-ng.org and www.intersociety-ng.org. Intersociety has been following the killing of Christians by jihadists in Nigeria or any part thereof including their patterns and trends since 2010 and has graphically done same this year, from the start of Jan to this date, 13th Dec 2020. We have also followed the atrocious and hateful conducts of the Nigerian Army including targeted killing of defenseless civilians on the grounds of their religion and ethnicity since Jan 2020 and since 2015.
Our special report is also in commemoration of this year’s 72 World Human Rights Day, a weeklong global event that officially commenced on Thursday, 10th Dec 2020. The special report, to be published in three phases including this four-page Executive Summary, is a summed up compendium of ‘the new wave of ‘genocidal radical Islamism’, threatening the Africa’s Coastal Christian States particularly the Christian held rainforest regions of Nigeria, a region with not less than 90m Christians. The special report is an eye opener to all and sundry with loaded facts and intellectual ingredients for general global community and the regional and international strategic partners and research institutions.
One of two striking features in the special report is the blacklisting of the Int’l Criminal Court (ICC) and the Government of Nigeria as “remote drivers of the anti Christian butcheries and other forms of violence against Christians in Nigeria”. We have reasoned correctly that ‘had the ICC under Prosecutor Fatou Bom Bensouda, whose nine-year single tenure elapses by June 2021 and Nigerian Government couriered and installed ICC President, Mr. Chile Eboe-Osuji, whose first tenure elapses by April 2021, lived up to their sworn sacred duties as clearly provided in the ICC Statute or Charter, 80%, if not 90% of the 34,400 massacred Christians and estimated 20,000 moderate Muslims’ deaths since 2009/2010, in addition to most of over 17,000 burnt or destroyed churches and 2000 Christian schools would have been secured’. ICC has endlessly since 2010 “commenced investigations on Nigeria”, yet ten years down the line, killing fields and graveyards in the country have increased with rapid speed.
We are therefore shocked and deeply dismayed over provocative excuses given by the outgoing Prosecutor of the Court in her public statement few days ago that her Office delayed from attending to trailer-load of petitions from Nigeria so as “to give the Nigerian Government (a key perpetrator) ample opportunity and time to redress the listed crimes’ classified under ‘Crimes against Humanity’ and ‘War Crimes’. Intersociety has not only lost total faith in the duo but also held that ‘nothing good whatsoever shall come from the outgoing Prosecutor and the outgoing President of the Court’.
This is more so when the Court under them is doing everything possible to impress and shield the present central Government of Nigeria from grisly or ‘industrial scale’ crimes it has committed over the years. Typical example is the Court’s outgoing leadership’s obvious lukewarm attitude towards enlisting Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen in its list of atrocity and heinous crimes perpetrators and more attention paid to Boko Haram. Nigerians and the world may not be surprised to hear from the Court soonest that “it is only investigating or has found merit in the crimes committed by Boko Haram and the Nigerian security agencies from May 2015 and backward or below”.
It is on the basis of the above, therefore, that we are calling for sustained international campaigns and efforts at ensuring the final exit of the duo from the leadership of the Court. In other words, lovers and apostles of justice all over the world must not only ensure that Mr. Chile Eboe-Osuji is not returned in April 2021 as second term President of ICC, but also get a new charismatic and statesmanlike elected as the new President of the Court. Madam Fatou Bom Bensouda, on her part, must no longer be taken serious. As a matter of fact, she should be assisted in packing her luggage out of the ICC Prosecutor’s Office at The Hague. Powerful State-Parties to ICC, including the Great Britain, France, Germany, Netherlands, Brazil, Denmark, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, South Africa and Portugal and powerfully influential watchdogs like Amnesty Int’l and Human Rights Watch and Britain’s eminent activist Parliamentarians, etc are respectfully prayed and called upon to take note.
The second striking feature in our special report is our forensic updates on the number of defenseless Christians killed by the country’s non state actor jihadist groups in 2020 and those killed since 2009. Also captured are defenseless Christians killed by Nigeria’s heavily Muslim controlled or dominated security forces particularly the Nigerian Army. The Nigerian Army is majorly responsible for 200 Christian deaths in 2020 alone and 1,400 since August 2015. Our inclusion of Christians killed by the Army in particular as well as some killed by Police and Air Force followed our careful observation and study of the composition and hateful conducts of the trio particularly by soldiers of the Nigerian Army.
Such hateful killings are targeted at particular citizens of the country on the grounds of their religion and ethnicity. For instance, our assessment of the Obigbo Army Massacre, Emene Army Massacre, Lekki Army Massacre, Takum-Taraba Tiv Christians massacred by the Army in June 2020 and the Oct 2020 EndSARS killings in the Southeast majorly perpetrated by the Army and Police, clearly indicate that the victims were hatefully targeted and hatefully killed or maimed on the grounds of their ethnic and religious backgrounds. Their killers are also found to be selectively composed and lumped along ethno-religious lines hateful of the victims and their ethno-religious backgrounds.
Death Of 2,200 Nigerian Christians In 2020: From Jan 2020 to this 13th Dec 2020, Intersociety has statistically found that as much as or not less than 2,200 Christians are most likely to have been killed in Nigeria and out of this figure, Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen is responsible for as much as or not less than 1,300 Christian deaths, followed by Boko Haram and its splinter groups (ISWAP and Ansaru) with 500 Christian deaths, Nigerian Army 200 Christian deaths and Jihadist “Bandits” 100 Christian deaths. The 500 Christian deaths by Boko Haram and its splinter groups, arrived at using 60% Muslim and 40% Christian casualty calculation or ratio, had arisen from estimated 1,200 defenseless civilians killed by the jihadists from 1st Jan to 13th Dec 2020. In other words, Nigeria in 2020 has lost average of six Christians per day and 180 per month.
It is strongly and circumstantially suspected that the Nigerian security forces particularly the Army, the Police, the Spy Police and the country’s non state actor jihadists have in this 2020 carried out as much as or not less than 100 secret executions, done on the grounds of ethnicity and religion; involving those secretly arrested or abducted and taken into their secret detention facilities or camps manned by the jihadists from where they were likely to have been secretly executed. The addition of this figure therefore brings the total number of defenseless citizens killed this year (2020) on religious and ethnicity grounds by Nigerian security forces and Islamic Jihadists to 2,200. This figure is subject to further updates in the remaining eighteen days of 2020, if the killings are continued.
The targeted and systematic killing of Christians in 2020 by the Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen, leading to as much as or not less than 1,300 Christian deaths had occurred in Southern Kaduna which recorded the highest number with at least 455 Christian deaths, followed by Benue State with 200 deaths, Plateau State 173, Niger State 70, Kogi State 55, Nasarawa State 42, Adamawa State 40, Igbo Land including Igbo parts of Delta and Benue 40, Taraba State 32, Southwest Region about 35, non Igbo parts of Delta 20, Edo State 15 and Bayelsa State 4. The 1,300 Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen massacred Christians include at least 50 abducted Christians, mainly abducted about five months ago in Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen attacks on Christian settlements and farmlands in Kaduna as well as addition of ‘dark figure’ of 70. The “dark figure”, a valid research principle in criminology, represents those Christians killed but went unreported or not documented.
Statistical Instances Of Recent Jihadist Herdsmen Killings
Among the recent killings by the Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen are: Kefas Malachy Bobai, 30years and Miss Takama Paul, 16 years old student, killed on 18th August in Gora Ward, Zagon Kataf Local Government Area (LGA), Kaduna. Houses belonging to Adamu Mangai, Gideon Nuhu, Andrew Adamu and Alphonsus Michael were razed while two children: Rebecca Andrew and Clement Andrew got abducted. On Friday night, 11th Dec 2020, around 11pm, Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen attacked Tse-Angbande Community in Makurdi Local Government Area of Benue State and killed at least four Christians who were members of the same family. Their names were given as: Timothy Emberga Akwa, Innocent Akwa, Terhemba Akwa and an in-law, simply identified as Orban. These instances are just to mention but a few.
Death Of 34,400 Nigerian Christians Since 2009
From the killing of Christians in Nigeria monitored and investigated through open and closed sources by Intersociety in the past ten years or since 2010, the anti Christian killings which majorly started in July 2009 have as at this date, 13th Dec 2020 led to estimated 34,400 Christian deaths. This figure includes 1,400 Christians massacred since August 2015 by the country’s security forces particularly the Army, Police and Air Force. On the other hand, this number did not include over 12,000 Christians who formed over half of internationally estimated 24,000 abducted and disappeared persons who went missing since 2009 same year Boko Haram launched its uprising against Christians and then Government of Nigeria. Boko Haram and its splinter jihadist groups, excluding Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen, have been accused of killing not less than 39,000 defenseless civilians in Nigeria since 2009.
Boko Haram & Ors Have Killed 17,000 Christians Since 2009
Over 17,000 defenseless Christians have been hacked to death since July 2009 by Boko Haram and its splinter groups, out of which, 8,370 were members of the Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, a dominant church in the Boko Haram insurgency affected States of Taraba, Adamawa, Yobe and Borno. The remaining 8,630 slain Christians are spread among other Christian denominations dominant in the Boko Haram insurgency affected areas and among them are Catholics, Anglicans, Pentecostals and members of ECWA and African Instituted Churches. Specifically, Boko Haram jihadists killed estimated 11,400 Christians between July 2009 and Jan 2014 and over 6,200 between Jan 2015 and 13th Dec 2020. In 2020 alone, estimated 500 Christians have been hacked to death by the Jihadist Sect and its splinter groups.
Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen Have Killed 15,500 Christians Since 2010
Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen, on their part, were responsible for death of estimated 6,000 Christians between Jan 2010 and Dec 2014 and between 9,500 between Jan 2015 and 13th Dec 2020; totaling 15,500 Christian deaths in ten years or since 2010. In 2020 alone, Jihadist Fulani Herdsmen have been responsible for death of as much as or not less than 1300 Christians.
Jihadist “Bandits” Have Killed 500 Christians Since 2016
The Jihadist “Bandits” have been responsible for estimated 500 Christian deaths in the past four years or since 2016. In this 2020, not less than 100 Christian deaths have also been recorded in their butchery hands.
Nigerian Army, Police & Air Force Have Killed 1,400 Judeo-Christians Since 2015
The Nigerian security forces particularly the Army, Air Force and Police have killed on religious and ethnicity grounds a total of 1,400 defenseless Judeo-Christians in five years or since August 2015 and among them are not less than 200 shot and killed in 2020 alone. Not less than 800 others were also shot and deadly injured and among them, dozens have been crippled for life.
Possible Secret Execution Of 100 Nigerian Christians In 2020 By Government & Jihadists
From our advocacy observation concerning the hate conducts of the Nigerian security forces, heavily Muslim dominated, it is strongly and circumstantially suspected that the country’s Army, Police and Spy Police; joined by the non state actor jihadists have in this 2020 carried out as much as or not less than 100 secret executions, targeting citizens of Judeo-Christian faith.
Socio–Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has urged President Muhammadu Buhari and Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, to probe how N116 million was spent to buy biros, letterhead and toners in 2015.
SERAP also tasked Sylva to disclose the amount spent on the same items between 2016 and 2020, and if there is evidence of misuse of public funds to refer the matter to appropriate anti-corruption agencies for prosecution.
Office of the auditor general for the federation had, last Thursday, before the Senate Public Accounts Committee revealed that officials of the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources spent N116 million to buy biros, letterhead and toners in one year, and alleged “contravention of the Public Procurement Act 2017 by the permanent secretary.”
In the letter dated December 12, 2020 and signed by SERAP Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare, the organisation said: “The 1999 Constitution (as amended), the UN Convention against Corruption and African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption require the government to ensure Nigeria’s resources are used effectively and efficiently, and in a manner consistent with the public interest.
“An effective and efficient ministry ought to keep careful track of how it spends public money, and put in place a system to eliminate corruption, mismanagement, unnecessary, inefficient, or unreasonable expenditures.
“Transparency and openness in the spending by your ministry would ensure the public trust, efficient, effective and competent delivery of public goods and services. Openness in the spending by your ministry will also strengthen the country’s democracy and promote efficiency and integrity in government.
The letter copied to Abubakar Malami, read in part: “Any allegation of misuse of public funds may constitute serious misconduct that impairs the efficiency of your ministry, and undermines public confidence in the ability of ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to provide essential public goods and services to Nigerians.
“SERAP is concerned that the allegations by the office of the auditor general raises serious violation of anti-corruption legislation, the Nigerian constitution and international anti-corruption standards.”
Prominent groups and Nigerians from different walks of life, on Sunday, took a swipe at the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), over Friday’s abduction of students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State.
Most of those who reacted said Buhari had failed and said they were shocked that the President had not visited the school despite the fact that he is in Katsina State on a weeklong vacation.
Those, who commented on the abduction of the students and Buhari’s inaction, included the Coalition of Northern Groups; the Middle Belt Forum; the Publicity Secretary of Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin; the Pan Niger Delta Forum; and the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
Also, on Sunday, several Nigerians took to the social media to lambast the President for failing to visit the school.
However, the Presidency, through the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said its focus was how to quickly resolve the issue thrown up by the abduction of the students, and not politics.
Shehu said this in a telephone interview with one of our correspondents, who sought to know from him when Buhari was planning to visit the school.
In responding, the presidential aide said, “As I speak to you, the Minister of Defence and the nation’s service chiefs just left the place.”
When told that Nigerians were already faulting the President for sending a delegation, while he is currently in the state, Shehu said, “Our focus is about resolving the issue. Leave us out of politics.”
Buhari criticised for failing to visit school
Several Nigerians took to the social media to criticise the President for failing to visit the school and wondered why he would ask the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno, to travel to Katsina State from Abuja, when he (Buhari) was currently in the same state on vacation.
One @SodiqTade tweeted, “My problem right now is Buhari sending delegates to Katsina from Abuja while he is currently in the same state. It takes minutes to get to the school but no let’s waste resources.
“Those who asked Goodluck Jonathan to travel miles from Kano down to the incident site in Borno on same day are now making ‘long distance’ excuse for Buhari. Even though the incident site is Katsina and Buhari is in the same Katsina. They said 150 minutes road journey is much for him.”
@EhiOziegbe tweeted, “Buhari should resign if he is not well. How can he be in Katsina and a delegation is going there? There is something that is not adding up with all the nonsense happening in the North.”
Similarly, one @Boufdadi tweeted, “Where is Buhari? Why isn’t he showing his face? Why can’t he go and commiserate with the parents of the abducted children? There are things we are not being told. Time will tell us these things.”
Another tweep, @maojawo, described the visit by the delegation as a waste of public resources.
“Wastage seems to be the only thing this government know how to do. Buhari in Katsina cannot pay condolence to the people, he sent people from Abuja to do it for him. The time, energy, and resources for it are wasted,” he tweeted.
“Is the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria not in Katsina State? Only God knows how much fund will go down into this visit,” @aladeniyi_ asked.
In his contribution, @DanielBalogun wondered why Buhari could not cut short his vacation to visit the school and commiserate with families of the victims.
“This does not add up. Ordinarily, the sitting President will cut short his private visit to attend to issue in his state. He should be seen with Masari to find the 333/600 students remaining. Another lesser delegation? Really? Is Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo also incapacitated?” he tweeted.
Chief Dr Godson Ezenagu, Ochendo Mgbakwu, Awka North, has told the press that a member of the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, who is a leader in APGA and founder, United Anambra Youth Assembly, U-AYA duped him of 43million naira in 2018.
Dr Ezenagu is the 2019 candidate of SDP in Awka North and South federal constituency. He was formerly in APGA where he contested for the ticket of the party but was clearly duped by the founder of U-AYA.
Speaking to the press, Ochendo Awka alleged that he paid the 43 million naira through bank transfers, cheques & CASH{Naira & US Dollars} and presented to the press some documents to support his claim.
According to some documents he showed to the journalists present, about 32 million naira was paid in tranches. It was paid into a company’s account named TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE while 11million was paid in NAIRA and US DOLLARS. Investigation shows that this company was possibly registered and used to dupe unsuspecting party members from Anambra, Imo and Abia states.
From documents made available to newsmen at Awka, Chief Dr Godson Ezenagu paid the sum of 5 million naira to the TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE on September 27, 2018. This money was paid into the Zenith bank account of TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE with account number 1014672083.
On September 28, 2018 he made another payment of 8 million naira into the Zenith bank to TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE with same account number. And on same 28th September, 2018 he made a transfer payment of 9 million naira through his Diamond bank account to one Clement Obidigwe.
The last payment was on October 7, 2018 where he again transferred the sum of 10 million naira into the TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE Zenith bank with account number 1014672083.
This sums the total amount paid to Hon Chinedu Obidigwe by Chief Dr Godson Ezenagu to 43 million naira. Hon Obidigwe knowing that the deal was a scam used the accounts of his younger BROTHER, Clement Obidigwe and a fake company, TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE to dupe Hon Godson Ezenagu.
Investigation shows that Clement Obidigwe is the younger brother to Hon Chinedu Obidigwe. He is a LAW STUDENT at the ANAMBRA STATE UNIVERSITY. His personal bank account was used to scam Chief Ezeagu the sum of 9 million naira.
Further investigation shows that TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE was a fake company which Hon Obidigwe used to scam APGA aspirants in 2019 general elections. TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE was registered with CAC on April 28, 2016. A check at the Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC revealed that TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE with RC No: 2411133 was registered by one ANTHONY CHIEJINA OBIEZE with address number; HOUSE 3, ZONE B APO RESSETLEMENT, Abuja.
Other individuals whose names appeared at CAC as proprietors of the TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE are Anthonia Chinyere Obieze and Chimsimdi Christabel Chimamanda of same HOUSE 3, ZONE B, APO RESSETLEMENT, Abuja.
The objective of the company as registered with CAC is for GENERAL MERCHANDISE.
It was discovered after the checks at CAC that Mr ANTHONY CHIEJINA OBIEZE hails from ONITSHA. He is Hon Chinedu Obidigwe ‘s PERSONAL ASSISTANT{PA} and equally doubles as an aide to gov Obiano. He is Special Assistant(SA) to the governor on Parks & Markets, attached to the Office of the Hon Commissioner for Transport, Anambra State.
The above were various findings on how Chinedu Obidigwe used his younger brother and a fake company called TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE to dupe Chief Dr Godson Ezenagu. The address, House 3, Zone B, Apo Resettlement which they used to register the fake company is under investigation to ascertain the true owner of the building.
From further enquires, the house is a 2 bedroom bungalow. It is doubtful if Mr Obieze or any of the proprietors of TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE lived in the said building. Our Abuja correspondent has sent enquires/made applications to the FCTDA and other agencies to ascertain the onwer and why the house address was used to register a company which is being used to scam unsuspecting Nigerians. We still await their reply.
Chief Dr Godson Ezenagu has vowed to use all legal and conventional means to recover his money. Hon Obidigwe is a serving House OF REPs Member representing ndi Anambra EAST & WEST FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY who ordinarily should understand that Chief Ezenagu will continue to demand for refund within the ambit of the law.
Both Clement OBIDIGWE and onwers of TUMMY FRND ENTERPRISE should do the needful now as the long arm of law will not spare them.
The Federal government said on Thursday that the price of data has been reduced by more than 50 percent following a directive that the Nigerian Communications commission, NCC, should put in place measures to that effect.
Accordingly, the price of data of 1GB has been reduced from 1000 naira to 487 naira beginning from last November.
The Minister of Communications and digital economy Dr Isa Ibrahim Pantami who broke the news, said it was in line with the directive he gave to the regulatory agency (NCC) to put measures in place to reduce the average cost of data in the country.
“The average cost of 1GB of data has reduced from the January 2020 cost of N1,000 to N487.18 in November, 2020.
“This was based on a report by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) submitted to the Honourable Minister following the implementation of the directives,” Dr Pantami’s Technical Assistant, Mr Femi Adeluyi said in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja.
Adeluyi who is Technical Assistant, Information and Technology said: “The Honourable Minister had inaugurated a Committee that developed the Nigerian National Broadband Plan (2020-2025) on the 16th of December, 2019.
“The Plan was unveiled and launched by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, on the 19th of March, 2020.
“One of the goals of the Plan is to reduce the average cost of 1GB of data to a maximum of N390 by 2025.
“With the January 2020 baseline of N1,000 per GB, the maximum projected steady decrease for the end of each year was as follows: 2020 (N925), 2021 (N850), 2022 (N775), 2023 (N700), 2024 (N545) and 2025 (N390).
“In line with Dr Pantami’s commitment to under promise and over deliver, the measures have caused the current cost of data to reduce significantly beyond the December 2020 projection of N925.
“Based on the Report by NCC, the average cost of data as at November 2020 was N487.18, which amounts to 47.33% lower than the projected value.
” The Report also indicates that the cost of data in November 2020 was less than 50% of the cost of data in January 2020.
“The Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, through the NCC, will continue to ensure that consumers enjoy a price regime that supports fairness and is friendly to consumers.
“Policies are in place to ensure that operators adopt competitive pricing that eschews unjustifiable margins. The general public may also wish to note that complaints about rapid data depletion are also being investigated.
“For more enquiries, the Honourable Minister has directed NCC to respond to all issues raised by our citizens and customers.
“All hands will remain on deck to achieve the goals of the Broadband Plan as the Ministry supervises its implementation in line with our National Digital Economy Policy for a Digital Nigeria.”
