HUMAN rights lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, SAN, Wednesday, declared that former President Goodluck Jonathan cannot contest the 2023 presidential election by 137 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended).
There have been speculations that the former President may defect from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Jonathan was elected President of Nigeria in the 2011 election but lost to Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.
Falana, in a statement, said: “It has been confirmed that former President Goodluck Jonathan has decided to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, to contest the 2023 presidential election.
However, the former President is disqualified from contesting the said election by 137 (3) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended which provides as follows: ‘A person who was sworn in to complete the term for which another person was elected as President shall not be elected to such office for more than a single term.’
QThe revelation of Nollywood actor, producer and director, Yul Edochie’s second wife has generated a lot of reactions.
Nigerian’s have gone as far as digging out an old post, where he praised his first wife for saying she’ll manage and stand by him when he was not at his best.
They brought up the post, where Yul praised his wife’s devotion: “I had no sustainable job when I got married; she said she’ll manage.”
Nigerians have also dragged the presidential aspirant’s dad, legendary actor, Pete Edochie into the issue.
He was quoted to have supposedly once said: “Marrying two women doesn’t mean you are a man, it just means you are about to suffer and breed confusion among your generations.”
The wife of the actor, May Yul-Edochie wrote “May God judge you both” in his comment section, when he announced his son by Nollywood actress, Judy Austin, who he also confirmed as his second wife.
Here are some of the reactions:
@Tirednaijababe: “This is May, wife of Yul Edochie for over 17 years! She gave that man 3 adorable boys and a gorgeous girl.
“Women do not deserve to go through all the marriage trauma men put them through! 4 beautiful children and all he got is another woman sharing her matrimony. Mba o! “
@Hornypot7: “How Yule edochie and Judy Austin started Vs How it is going now.
Pete edochie wey Dey advise single women no fit advise him son. I heard one don jazzy also has gay saga.B like gistlover and David hundeyin graduate for same school.”
@BestBlessing: “Pls let a woman know if she’s open to polygamy, allow her have a say and make her own decisions, don’t come and hurt an innocent woman all in the name of being an African man, the way you want your wife only to yourself, same with women. Pete Edochie”
@SaintDaozzi: “Pete Edochie should come out and say something about his son Yul Edochie. I’m sure he must be very disappointed.”
Soludo has to work hard to win the people confidence in Government operations. Obiano Administration destroyed people confidence in Government. Most people that worked with Obiano lacked understanding of the business of governance . They see public offices as avenue to amass wealth .
Most of the Revenue Agents were fronts for govt officials . ASWAMA has failed to evacuate refuse because of failed contracts by the previous administration.
Soludo is in a fix – to part with Obiano and stay with the people or to please Obiano and lose the people support.
The Revenue House in Anambra headed by Mr Madiebo ,unfortunately is using fraudulent records generated by Obiano government to set Soludo Government up against the people.
How Soludo handles revenue issues will determine how the public perceive his administration.
Already ,Prof Soludo has failed to take charge of Monday activities . Non- State Actors are still in charge as Soludo has failed to address the poverty situation among the populace .People have started losing hope with Soludo Administration. Revenue agents are going about the street ‘terrorizing’ the poor traders seizing their properties with Ocha Brigade without caring to follow due processes which Soludo promised . People will pay tax willingly when they trust their Government.
It is not yet late for Soludo Government to do the right thing as promised. Effort should be made to narrow the communication gap between the people and Government.
The tasks and challenges ahead of the appointees of this administration are extremely huge. The people of the state expect nothing short of excellence from the new appointees who all offered to serve and were selected from the pool of competitive applicants. No wonder, Governor Chukwuma Soludo congratulated and at the same time, commiserated with them.
Their appointment is a call to action, and not a call for personal gains. A call to be in the field to squeeze water out of stone and to remain dedicated and committed to the effort of Governor Soludo’s administration to achieve a smart megacity status for ndi-Anambra.
It is worthy to note that they are fit-for-purpose for the huge task ahead of this unsual administration. Yes! They have a humongous task of deploying data and technologies to create a more efficient and effective e-governance.
In actualization of enjoyable homeland, the appointees have a task of connecting law enforcement facilities and state of-the-art emergency call services that will be used to drastically reduce crime, they have been tasked to resurrect Onitsha and other Urban centres with clean water and clean air, and to give ndi-Anambra greener spaces for relaxation. on road facilities, they have a huge task of providing quality road infrastructures with good drainages and pedestrian walkways.
The task of moving the largely known informal commerce to digital buying and selling given the broadband coverage that is planned is humongous but it is achieveable. They have no option than rapidly giving way to e-library where researches are made easy and e-health services where sick people could get prescriptions from their hospitals right from their homes.
There are more examples of why Governor Soludo commiserated with his appointees. However, we need to stress that while these are achieveable couple with the fact that this is government that has a will to perform, the process is not a one hundred metre dash. What is needed is the collective patience and persverence to launch Anambra to the first world as there are huge signs that Soludo’s political appointees shall succeed.
(Pitifully; some urchins are still waiting for their savior and leader to be released and he walks majestically back to radio Biafra and start his ESN activities. Start threatening Buhari, Nnia Nwodo, governors and unleashing mayhem on dissents while calling for donations to live expensive life.
Some are still waiting for Nnamdi Kanu to be released and he slots back into the struggle. They are savoring that compelling but deceitful voice to still come and tell them how Nigeria is this and that and would end.
For him to issue order mandating ESN to kill Fulani herdsmen and torch police stations. They are waiting for Nnamdi Kanu to be released and he goes back to say Two Thousand heads will be used to bury Ikonso. I have nothing but to pity them. Brain dead members of IPOB will never stop amazing me)
The leader of IPOB will be released; I am convinced he would be granted pardon in future but the Nnamdi Kanu you knew before will never be the Nnamdi Kanu you will get when granted pardon.
The earlier the better for those of you their savior is in DSS dungeon looking for who to save him. Being in the know today will save you from depression tomorrow. He will never remain the same and DOS who take orders from him are showing you glimpse of what the future will be like.
This write up will help you absorb shock and prepare you for tomorrow; because those waiting for Kanu to give them Biafra are those that love waiting for the last fall. To avoid saying Nnamdi Kanu disappointed you tomorrow; you should start now to prepare for the time. He disappointed me long time ago; but, being clearer to you any time soon should not bother you much.
Without mincing words; Nnamdi Kanu tried his best but his best was not enough. As a human being; he made mistakes and got broken at some point. He is a human; he wanted to stay in the limelight while managing the risk of his trade. After year 2017; it was clear he had nothing to offer anymore but he wanted to continue because his financial survival depends on the struggle.
Was once a jobless man in UK; trekking the streets of UK in search of menial jobs, eating mama-put each time he comes back to Nigeria and suddenly became a multimillionaire who has cars and could wear a single One Million Naira cloth.
The venture that gave him such money would hardly be dropped for anything. It was the hardest decision of his life; to go back to the days of hustling was not on his table. Desperation cost him immensely; he would have made himself a godfather like Uwazurike did but he chose to end badly as long as the money flows.
He might have learned a lesson but too late now; the dungeon goes with a bleak future. I pity him; power is attractive and he wanted to remain in his illegitimate and fraudulent power.
Who would easily forfeit the praise, the right to donations, the women for lavishing, five star life and holy, holy song. Just imagine had Nnamdi Kanu walked away in the year 2017; his legacy would be a shining light while others continue in arms he couldn’t afford.
We already knew radio rants couldn’t restore Biafra neither could all the fake UN and EU videos Uchemefor later confirmed was a sham. He was put under pressure to convince us and retain the trust of his financiers and imps; that was how he slid into killings and desperate things.
Today; we remember Nnamdi Kanu for bloodshed and fruitless agitation. The biggest mistake he made was to be caught. After jumping bail, hijacking END SARS protest and arming youths in the name of ESN that led to bloodshed, I didn’t expect him to expose himself to the point of being caught like a rat.
Having left UK; hiding in South-America was a better option and then going underground. Yet; holy, holy song and the fear of another person taking over the struggle he and his family were living on didn’t help. He would rather continue to broadcast; threaten and issue order to deceive his followers and create the impression he was still in the fight. Now caught and thrown into DSS dungeon; where are those praise singers and donors?
Pitifully; some urchins are still waiting for their savior and leader to be released and he walks majestically back to radio Biafra and start his ESN activities. Start threatening Buhari, Nnia Nwodo, governors and unleashing mayhem.

The fateful end of Nnamdi Kanu came the day he was arrested and brought back to Nigeria. If Nnamdi Kanu succeeds in pleading for his life and released; he would be worse than Ifeajuna.
Through his DOS, he has started promising Hausa/Fulani protection in Southeast. He is calling for political solution. He is calling for peace and settlement. He is fighting against sit-at-home for Nigeria. He is listing names of Unknown Gun Men for Nigeria to arrest and denying everything. He is fighting Ekpa by all means. You are seeing just a tip of an iceberg.

Good Governance Ministry (GGM) is open for ideas on the best ways to organise and direct our people to play politics of ideas as against money politics. Of course ,no organisation can function efficiently and effectively without adequate funding . Organisations are funded through members dues ,proceeds from sale of materials and donations. Several millions of naira have been raised for sick and disadvantaged in our society as humanitarian assistance, many who were not registered members of GGM .
Today ,I got a call from one of our supporters in Diaspora . He told me that Chinedu Asuzu has done what many could not do and that Chinedu has functioned more and better than most of the people appointed as Commissioners under Soludo . My Caller was referring to a video where Chinedu was controlling traffic in the night exposing his young life to danger ,ready to take bullet for our sake without anybody paying him monthly allowance. He wondered why Soludo has not invited Chinedu for negotiation.
My response to him is simple : GGM is on divine mission ,and our mission does not include allowing our Leader to work under Soludo . I told him that GGM will set a parallel system that will ensure that those in Government function efficiently until GGM is ready to take over Government . We are not in a hurry. He got the message that we are not hungry- we are ideologically driven .We are not looking for appointment. We will create our own wealth to serve humanity.
We will ensure that Soludo succeeds .For now,Soludo is GGM model for Good Governance but we don’t expect him to perform miracle . The damage and confusion are so deep-rooted that it will take a first class head to navigate to success . Soludo is here to lay the foundation for our future.
As I was going out today to monitor the events on the street of awka ,I saw Dr Onyeka Ibezi – the Deputy Governor on the street supervising the agency in charge of waste disposal . I noticed Soludo effect – the Deputy Governor was dressed for work and was moving with the ordinary workers . I instantly confirmed that visionary Leadership changes people altitude to work .
A. NigerDock is the largest ship fabrication yard in West Africa sub region. When it was sold, its Ex-MD Engr. Nkpubre Okon, openly stated how “Mr Job Creator” ignored the Transport Ministry then to Open bid for NigerDock.
Atiku’s preferred bidder, ‘Global Energy’ that agreed to increase NigerDock’s workforce from 4,800 to 6,000 as part of privatization agreement dismissed 2,200 immediately it took ownership. Jagal Group that took over after Global Energy lost out on power play also sacked 1,400.
Nigeria Port Authority reform was purely contrived to grab landed properties. 10,000 workers were sacked & 133 bids opened for NPA properties consisting of 68 properties in Apapa, 28 houses in Ikoyi. The highest reserves bid was for a property in Ikoyi fixed at N390.4 Million.
NIGERIA RAILWAY
Did Atiku forget how 7000 railway workers were sacked in 2005 without compensation to reduce its workforce to 6,300? Another 1,260 were fired in 2006. When ATIKU and his Headmaster were leaving in 2007, they left ~N5 Billion in unpaid Railway pension arrears.
FEDERAL SECRETARIAT IKOYI
In 2006, Babalakin’s Resort Ltd acquired this 15 storeys prime asset overgrown with weeds from atiku and OBJ through a Development Lease Agreement (DLA) for N7.2Billion. A Court has asked Buhari to pay N54 Billion to Babalakin for that blunder.
The DLA, dated October 10, 2006, granted Babalakin Resort Ltd a 99-years lease to redevelop the Federal Secretariat complex, that OBJ & ATIKU had abandoned for 7 years into 480 luxury apartments. This was at the eve of their departure from government. The transaction was one for the road.
The DLA hit the rocks when Lagos State Govt in the interest of the public indicated willingness in acquiring the Federal Secretariat complex. LASG insisted it should be accorded right of first refusal since LASG is the Issuing Authority of the C of O, coupled with other reasons.
Lets not forget Atiku was in charge of the economy and OBJ gave him free hand until Galaxy Backbone scandal happened.
In 2002, first 3yrs of the Obasanjo/Atiku, manufacturing accounts for 6% of GDP. Nigeria’s GDP fell by half for d first time in 20yrs. This was d year all textile factories in Nigeria closed down and unemployment was 28% within the formal sector alone; I repeat, alone!!
In 2002, UN estimated that 70% of Nigerians live below poverty line compared to 48.5% in 1998 under a military rule. Life expectancy fell from 54yrs to 51yrs. Two-fifth of every child below age 5 were malnourished and only 50% of the 128Million Nigerians have access to clean water.
FACTUAL REPORT ON HOW ATIKU SUPERVISED THE SALES OF OVER 145 FG INVESTMENTS AS A VICE PRESIDENT !!!
Please any or all ATIKU supporters or his campaign structure are free to deny these submission with facts not sentiments.
“As Head of National Council on Privatization (NCP), from 1999, atiku dug Nigeria’s economic grave for today’s extreme poverty and unemployment.
There were over 600 federal assets when Atiku’s NCP started selling.
Atiku should tell us who bought what and what was left for the country when he left power.
To who did Atiku sell the following companies:
Nafcon
Eleme Petrochemical
Daily Times
Ughelli Power
Egbin Power
NICON Insurance
ALSCON
Transcorp Hilton Hotel
NICON Luxury Hotel
Sunti Sugar Ltd
NetCom House
Bacita Sugar Ltd
MM2
In 2007, Onigbolo Cement operating at 500,000 tonnes per annum was sold to Dangote at N1.7Bn
To those selling Atiku, let me remind you of Senate public hearing of August, 2011 which succinctly captures how Atiku through retinue of cohorts, fronts, shell companies, ring fenced over 70% of FG’s assets through a brazen daylight robbery privatization that he supervised.
This is nothing sensational. Its real life facts and all the Senators are alive today.
The 2011 privatization Senate committee was made up of Senator Ahmed Lawan – Chairman, Senators Babafemi Ojudu, Philip Aduda, Mohammed Ndume, Ifeanyi Okowa, Hope Uzodinma and Mohammadu Magoro.
Lets look at Aluminium Smelting Company, ALSCON, that Atiku privatized.
ALSCON which Nigeria built with $3.2 billion, was sold to a Russian firm, Russal, for $130million. As of the time of sale, ALSCON had received $120million for the dredging of Imo River, but was never done.
When the Senate Sitting of August, 2011 asked the Russian company the whereabouts of the $120million dredging money, the company’s Deputy Managing Director, Vitaly Kuzrestov, said that the money has been used for Environment Impact Assessment.”
FG’s Five percent share in Eleme Petrochemical worth USD27 million was never presented at the National Council on Privatization before it was sold to Indorama.
Indorama recovered this amount selling Polyethylene and Urea to the entire west Africa sub-region in just 14 months.
The Atikulate Business Theory: Sell to yourself Government assets that leaves millions in penury, to set up personal businesses that provides for a few. Atiku didn’t employ the few hundreds he employed because he likes them, he needs them to work to preserve what he took from Government
A man who supervised sales of over 145 federal investments as a vice president, without a thought for today wants to be president.
He didnt revitalize them.
He didnt resuscitate them.
He sold them to whomever agrees to his personal terms
THOSE WHO STOLE YOUR 2015–2030 IN 1999–2007 ARE THE SAME THIEVES YOU ARE NOW ROMANCING TO COME BACK!!!
For how long will you allow a few to steal your future and your children’s future and be giving you crumbs. Look at 1999–2007 everything we grew up to know were sold to themselves or the scrap sold for cash.
Nigeria Airways and their houses in GRA Ikeja, what happened to them? When we were growing up most of the houses in GRA Ikeja were owned by the Nigeria Airways and all now sold to whom?
Nigeria RE. The biggest re insurance company in Africa who bought it?
NICON Insurance who bought it ?
NITEL was sold for peanuts and killed by them so that their investment in AiRTEL, MTN,GLO etc will yield dividends
NITEL House one of the tallest in Marina was sold cheap to former Speaker Bankole.
What is the Status of National Stadium Surulere? Millions was budgeted for refurbishment by the sports ministry and nothing to show. Compare that stadium to Lagos State owned Thunder Balogun stadium and the difference is clear .
Nigerian National Shipping line? Where are the ships? They disappeared between 1999-2015
NEPA after Obasanjo spent $16 billion, they broke down NEPA to several units and sold it to themselves and NEPA is still not efficient while Atiku’s Mikano Generators is powering Nigeria & her businesses!
Obasanjo/Atiku sold Port Harcourt Refinery to their cronies in 2007 and thank God, President Yar’ Adua reversed it .
All of these happened in the 8 disastrous locust years of the obasanjo/Atiku, Recession didn’t just happen! They looted us into recession! I cannot stand and watch those who plundered the nation come back in 2023. Stop praising and voting for individuals who took your future away and stop them from coming back to steal your generation away
Nigeria has a population of 200million people we are told.
Our 2018 budget is 9 trillion Naira.
The Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria AMCON, the company that was set up to help the rich buy their debts, told us last month that, 350 Nigerians {out of 200million citizens} are responsible for 80% of AMCON’s N5.4 trillion debt portfolio.
May be you did not hear that well!
AMCON said only 350 Nigerians borrowed N5.4trillion from banks, which they could not pay and AMCON came in to buy up those debts in other to save the commercial banks from collapsing.
To put that in perspective;
2018 Capital Budget is N2.4 trillion
2018 Recurrent Budget is N3.4 trillion
Add both capital and recurrent votes and you will get N5.8 trillion.
But 350 Nigerians, out of 200 million of us borrowed that same amount, they refused to pay and government came round to buy the debts over through AMCON.
The corporation also pointed out that, out of the millions of BVN numbers with the banks, only 100 BVNs collect 60% of bank lendings.
And this has left the banks with 13,000 bad loans worth 5.6trillion borrowed by “big men” who are now fighting to remove this administration so that they wont ever pay their debts!
Now, when they go to recover from defaulters like they did with Silverbird for example, the same cheated ignorant commoners are the first to cry fowl.
Some of the companies owing include:
Seaworlf Nig Ltd – 160billion
Arik Air – 300billion
Tanzila Petroleum Ltd 49.2billion
Resort Int’l Ltd – 36.3billion
Home Trust Savings – 25.75billion
Suru worldwide ventures – 24.4billion
Roygate properties- 23.26 billion
Ziglagsis network Ltd – 20.33 billion
Lexcap partners – 18billion
Anyiam Osigwe Ltd – 17.25billion
Silverbird – 11 billion
Wokson International – 5 billion
From the figures above:
Arik alone is owing more than the 2018 Ministry of Transportation budget which is N263 billion.
Seaworlf Nig Ltd, is also owing more than the 2018 Ministry of Defence budget which is N145 billion.
It’s not rocket science which is a product of our contrived emotions not our lack of education is exonerating, encouraging and emboldening them to make desperate attempts to come back o power!
