AFTER THE ENDSARS PROTEST , WHAT NEXT?- PRM Coordinator
It is obvious that majority of the PEOPLE have woken up from their slumber in Nigeria. Henceforth, things will never remain the same. The END SARS protest really shocked, shaked and exposed the oppressors of the citizens of Nigeria.
Nigerian political Leaders and privileged elites have been excreting shits into the mouth of ordinary people of Nigeria with impunity and total disregard to human sanctity and the people instead of getting angry, have been enjoying their rubbish and singing their praises like bewitched creatures.

Ironically ,the table is about turning where the people are the masters and the elected politicians are the servants of the people. Thanks to the coming of PRM preaching the gospel of good governance. For a long time the people have been made to understand that politics is bad, evil and a dangerous game. Majority of Christians have been taught that politics is a sin, alas, they refused to be involved. The saying that VOTES DON’T COUNT had been used to water down the political consciousness of the people. Some so called freedom fighters have preached and convinced their gullible followers to boycott elections, assuring them that doing so will usher in the freedom they desire, which have proven to be false.
All these are the hand work of the oppressors to keep the people in perpetual bondage. One of the worse thing they do to the people before and during election is using stolen money to buy peoples’ votes. Horribly, those who claim to be religious and traditional leaders join hands with the oppressors to dehumanize their people in most dishonorable manners.
Folks, POLITICAL PARTICIPATION is the open door to the freedom we seek. What do the people want? Is it good governance, new constitution, resource control, devolution of power, regional autonomy, referendum and self determination. Is it good health care system, qualitative education, basic amenities, housing, good transportation systems, employment, technological and infrastructural development etc, participating in the electoral process is the shortest route to achieve all these, because our participation will bring us all at the table of decision making. Some may give excuse that our electoral system is weak, but it is our responsibility to fix it and make it work perfectly.
Join the program of GOOD GOVERNANCE MINISTRY as we continue to educate, encourage, sensitize and enlighten our people on way forward to FREEDOM and JUSTICE.

This Is The Right Time To Play Ideological Politics – Anambra Coordinator Of PRM

I thank God almighty for everything because in every circumstances His name must be glorified.
I also want to commiserate with the families of those who lost their loved ones, those who were injured and those who lost money, properties, valuables etc to the pandemonium that followed the END SARS protest in Nigeria. I want to assure us that God is always on our side.
For some months now, People Restoration Mission (PRM) has been trying via social media/radio program to awaken the economic and political consciousness of our dear people. Through our program called GOOD GOVERNANCE MINISTRY, we have encouraged our people to take charge of the political administration throughout the old eastern region ,this is in line with our conviction that political power belongs to the people.
We were actually mobilizing the people in Anambra State for a million man march against open grazing which was to commence towards the end of October. We are aware of the numerous problems bedeviling our society, but our strategy remains consistent with tackling our issues with utmost tact and precision to achieve desired result .
END SARS protest started at the beginning of October in Lagos and like wild fire spread across the country . We had no choice than to support and join the peaceful END SARS protest which were championed by the youths to address societal concern.
My joy today is that the PEOPLE have woken up. The people have realized that POWER BELONGS TO THEM. Though the enemies of the PEOPLE still introduced their usual trick of using ethnic/religious differences and hoodlums to frustrate and hamper the peaceful protest, we all know that presently the same thugs and miscreants they employed against the peaceful END SAR protesters have caused them more harm. Even in some places the hoodlums are still on rampage looting and destroying properties of the state.
Now, one take home for the oppressors is that the PEOPLE are no longer asleep, with the successful END SARS protest POWER IS RETURNED BACK TO THE PEOPLE.
Now, if indeed the people have risen to defend their rights, what should be the next step to achieve total freedom from their oppressive rulers?
Join the program GOOD GOVERNANCE MINISTRY as we continue to educate, sensitize and enlighten our people on the way forward to FREEDOM and JUSTICE.

Trump Vetoed World Trade Job For Ngozi Okonjo Iweala
The World Trade Organization’s effort to select a leader and chart a new course for the global trading system hit a roadblock Wednesday after the Trump administration vetoed a bid by front-runner Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who is a U.S. citizen, to be the WTO’s next director-general.
Deputy U.S. Trade Representative Dennis Shea said Washington won’t join a consensus to appoint Okonjo-Iweala because the U.S. supports her opponent, South Korean Trade Minister Yoo Myung-hee, according to WTO spokesman Keith Rockwell.
U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer has pushed for Yoo even though Okonjo-Iweala gained American citizenship in 2019. Sources close to him say he views Okonjo-Iweala, a longtime top official at the World Bank, as being too close to pro-trade internationalists like Robert Zoellick, a former USTR from the Bush administration who worked with her when he was president of the Washington-based bank.
“Minister Yoo is a bona-fide trade expert who has distinguished herself during a 25-year career as a successful trade negotiator and trade-policy maker,” the USTR’s office said in a statement. “This is a very difficult time for the WTO and international trade. There have been no multilateral tariff negotiations in 25 years, the dispute-settlement system has gotten out of control, and too few members fulfill basic transparency obligations. The WTO is badly in need of major reform. It must be led by someone with real, hands-on experience in the field.”
The U.S.’s lone resistance to the majority-backed Okonjo-Iweala opens the possibility of months of gridlock over the selection process and more diplomatic friction with trading partners like the European Union.
“I’m surprised and disappointed in the U.S. reaction,” said William Reinsch, a trade official in the Clinton administration and senior adviser at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. “I had hoped Lighthizer would have more respect for the institution than that.”
WTO decisions are made by a consensus of its 164 members, which means a single country — especially the world’s largest economy — can create a stalemate to pressure others. The Geneva-based institution will keep working to reach a consensus ahead of meeting of the General Council tentatively set for Nov. 9.
“Dr. Ngozi looks forward to the General Council on Nov. 9 when the committee will recommend her appointment as director-general,” said Molly Toomey, a spokesperson for Okonjo-Iweala. “A swift conclusion to the process will allow members to begin again to work, together, on the urgent challenges and priorities.”
Yoo didn’t respond to Bloomberg’s requests for comment, and the USTR didn’t immediately provide comment.
The U.S. election, which falls on Nov. 3, is now a key factor in the WTO race and the institution’s search for direction that seemed to be nearing a conclusion is now getting tangled in American politics.
If Trump wins, his aides have indicated they plan to continue to reshape the WTO with a narrower scope to resolve trade disputes.
If former Vice President Joe Biden wins, it is likely WTO members will postpone the meeting until after the inauguration on Jan. 20, according to sources familiar with the matter. Even then, it might be several months after Biden takes office before the Senate could confirm a Trade Representative who would craft U.S. positions at the WTO.
The setback in the leadership race came after Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria’s former finance minister, received a key endorsement earlier Wednesday from the WTO selection committee despite the U.S.’s expressions of support for Yoo. The EU, Japan, and much of Africa and Latin America are pushing for Okonjo-Iweala.
China said it supported the outcome of the WTO process, Rockwell told reporters following Wednesday’s meeting.
“The selection of the WTO director-general is critical for the future of the organization,” the European Commission, the EU’s Brussels-based executive arm, said in an emailed statement on Wednesday. “There are now two candidates announced as finalists, both strong and experienced. It is now for WTO members to make their final choice, which will happen over the next days.”
If it’s not possible for the General Council to agree on a consensus candidate, WTO members could consider holding a vote to select the next WTO director-general by a qualified majority. Okonjo-Iweala would likely win such a vote but such a development would be unprecedented and systemically harmful for the consensus-oriented WTO.
Okonjo-Iweala, 66, twice served as Nigeria’s finance minister and is chair of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization. She campaigned as a WTO outsider and a reformer who told Bloomberg she plans to bring a “fresh set of eyes” to a deeply dysfunctional organization.
The Trump administration has played a key role in the the WTO’s descent into disorder. In December, the U.S. precipitated the the paralysis of the WTO appellate body, which previously had the final say on trade disputes involving the world’s largest economies.
The European Union endorsed Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala to lead the World Trade Organization, bolstering her bid as the U.S. backs the only other contender in the final phase of the race.
All 27 EU governments agreed on Monday in Brussels to support Okonjo-Iweala, a Nigerian former finance minister, over Yoo Myung-hee, South Korea’s trade chief, in the contest to become WTO director-general, according to officials familiar with the matter. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deliberations were confidential.
Both women remain in the running from an original eight contestants and were the EU’s preferred two finalists from that group.
Okonjo-Iweala is set to pick up the support of another big trading power. The Japanese government isn’t supporting Yoo either and will inform the WTO of its decision soon, Kyodo News reported, as ill feelings over history continue to hurt commercial ties between Japan and South Korea.
Brazilian Roberto Azevedo stepped down from the WTO’s top job at the end of August — a year before his term ended. The Geneva-based trade body faces headwinds from a U.S.-China trade war, the coronavirus pandemic, a hobbled arbitration system and a lack of tools to tackle growing challenges such as industrial subsidies.
The WTO is still consulting its member countries about the leadership bids by Okonjo-Iweala and Yoo. It plans to announce a winner by Nov. 7, with the still-undisclosed position of China being important as the U.S. supports Yoo.
Europe has found itself in the middle of the U.S.-China trade battle over the past three years, seeking to prod both countries to do more in defense of multilateral rules. The bloc has fought to curtail alleged unfair Chinese trade and investment policies while lashing out at President Donald Trump’s protectionist tilt and confrontational approach toward China and Europe.
