I call this, Religious Diplomacy:
Nnamdi Kanu during an interview on Israeli National T.V, told the interviewer that he want a Jewish State Of Biafra, where Biafran will be free to practice Judaism and worship their God.
Nnamdi Kanu describes Igbos as Jews in Africa, and majority of his IPOB members under his command practice Judaism as their faith.
This interview can best be described as an insight of where Nnamdi Kanu is heading to with Biafra agitation for freedom.
It is most likely, Nnamdi Kanu is trying to lure Israeli Government to support Biafra right to self-determination, using religion as a major Diplomatic tool.

(The Bolshevik Revolution of 1917 * Nigeria-Biafra War of 1967-70)
by
Prof. Uzodinma Nwala
1. Lessons from the Bolshevik Revolution
The Bolshevik Revolution in Russia popularly known as The Great October Socialist Revolution of 1917, came in the wake of the First World War (WW1) in 1917. The Leader of the Revolution, Vladimir Illych Lenin, was in exile in Finland as those two momentous events were going on simultaneously.
The Russian Ruling Class, popularly referred to as the Bourgeois Class, were facing two life-and-death fronts, namely,
• the German Military machine that was ravaging Europe and pushing ferociously into the Russian territory, and
• the Working class revolutionary push to oust them from power.
The working class movement was desperately in need of their leader, Lenin, to take effective command of their revolutionary push. The leaders on the ground- Kamenev, Trotsky, Stalin, etc sent frantic SOS to Lenin to return home immediately to lead what had appeared to be the final push against the Russian Ruling Class – the capitalists.
A highly agitated Lenin summoned a meeting of the émigrés and they agreed to go home.
Then there was a problem – to go home they had to pass through the war front controlled by the Germans. And that had to mean seeking a safe-passage from the German military authorities. Lenin sought, and the Germans enthusiastically offered them a safe-passage through the front controlled by them.
Lenin called a meeting of the council of the émigrés and broke the news to them that he had secured an offer of safe passage from the Germans.
Almost in unison, they shouted, as we would say n’AlaigboTufiakwa! How can they accept safe-passage from the Germans who were at war with their country. If they did, their countrymen would term them German-agents. The offer was, therefore, rejected against what was in fact Lenin’s strategic position.
Lenin, the super democratic revolutionary leader, bowed to the decision of the majority and, therefore, he had to inform the Germans that the leadership of their Party-in-exile had turned down the offer.
Of course, the offer of the Germans was meant to be a Greek-gift, always seen as bait to get something higher in return. The return of Lenin and his men, the Germans reason, would intensify the internal revolt and thus weaken the Russian front in favor of the Germans. That was their aim in granting the safe-passage in the first place.
Meanwhile, the revolutionary war was raging ferociously in Russia and its fate hung in the balance. The presence of Lenin leading the struggle was seen as the force that could decisively alter the balance in favor of the revolution. So Kamenev and the other leaders continued to mount pressure on Lenin and his comrades in exile to return home immediately.
Lenin summoned another meeting. As the debate raged with some of his comrades still advancing the same opposing argument, an agitated Lenin shouted in response –
You mean the Russian workers will not understand if I tell them that I had to use every means possible to join them at this moment in our historic struggle.
They finally passed the decision to accept the safe-passage. Lenin immediately conveyed the decision to the Germans and so they were granted safe-passage into Russia.
They returned home, joined their comrades and eventually their forces entered and took over the Duma – Russian Parliament, dissolving the Parliament, which led to the fall Alexander Kerensky’s Provisional Government. The Bolshevik Party now took over the Government of Russia.
What happened next?
The new Leaders of Russia requested for a cease-fire in the war with the German. The German demanded that Russia should cede the conquered portion of their territory and extra portion as a condition for a seize-fire.
Lenin, this time again, summoned a meeting of the entire leadership of the Revolution and informed them of the condition given by the Germans. Many who were in the debate in Switzerland over the safe-passage issue rolled their eyes as if to say anyi karakwara ihea aka, meaning ‘we told you that the German wanted to use us to take over Russia’.Almost in unison, they rejected the condition for seize-fire. Lenin conveyed the decision to the Germans.
The German military machine rolled deeper and deeper into Russia. Petrograd, the seat of power, was under treat. Everyone was jittery. Another meeting was summoned. Lenin came up much more forcefully to advice his colleagues that they should accept the German condition because their Government was still in its formative days; that as soon as they felt strong enough, they would recover their territory.
The new Russian Government accepted the German condition; ceded part of their territory. But eventually in the course of time, Russia recovered her lost territory, as Lenin had predicted.
2. Lessons from the Nigeria-Biafra War (1067-70).
As the war raged and Biafra had lost a sizable proportion of their territory, the African Union summoned a meeting in Kampala. Emperor Haile Slessor, who was OAU Chairman had advised the Biafra Delegation, through Zik – Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe – that Biafra should accept to return to Nigeria with an arrangement to have Nigeria re-organized as a Confederation, which would allow Biafra enough political space and leeway – control of their security, resources, judiciary, land, etc; and that as soon as possible, it would be possible for the Biafra people to attain full autonomy.
For reasons, some of which bother on conjectures, but all of which portray a people under the spell of Egbeonu (emotional propaganda), people who had little or no touch with political reality and were being swayed and driven by propaganda (distortions and lies), Biafra lost everything. Statesmen were scorned and some of them turned into errand children, Ndigbo and their neighbours lost the historical opportunity, the finest momentsof their history to be free. The freedom of Ndigbo and their neighbors would have ultimately meant freedom for all in the present artificial Federal Republic.
Those who say Alaigbo does not have statesmen dedicated to the freedom and security of Umuigbo and capable of leading their struggle for a decent place on God’s own earth, are not exactly correct and could be said to be uninformed about the subject.
However, if they mean to assert that Alaigbo, like other nationalities in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has her own share of self-conceited and dangerous efulefu, blood-suckers who have no conscience, rabble rousing and trading and enriching themselves on the predicament and suffering of their people, they are correct.
It is important to make this distinction – that some of the well-meaning sons and daughters of Alaigbo may, through ego, lack of experience or wrong advice, mislead the people, and thereby cause untold calamity for the people. In a situation like that, it is the duty of genuine elders and statesmen, to boldly and courageously step forward and guide the struggle of the people for freedom.
There are three psychological elements that drive a people’s struggle for freedom. These are emotion, reason and experience. They must be combined in the mind and activities of those who rise to lead a people. They must also try and help the people move with them guided by rational emotion and experience. Emotion is the most dangerous and riotous element if it flies alone without reason and experience. It is equally very limited if it is guided by reason without the benefit of experience.
When we refer to the role of elders in a people’s struggle, it is to the three elements – reason and experience we are referring to. However, when we refer the role of statesmen in a people’s struggle, we are referring to those elders in whom the three are combined – emotion, reason and experience. No matter how much logical mind as well as experience an elder has, if he is not emotionally committed (I,e,. passionately committed) to the cause of his people, his role may be limited and may at times be suspect. What we refer to as emotion is the same as passionate commitment.
The Great Zik was one of the most experienced leaders and thinkers in Alaigbo during the Biafra war; but his emotional commitment to Biafra was very limited. He was not asionate about Biafra project as the road to freedom.
The leader of the Biafra struggle, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, was deeply emotionally and intellectually involved, but his experience was limited. We should, however, consider his age and exposure before he became the leader of the Biafra struggle. We should also consider his ego and how much danger it brought to bear on the conduct of that struggle.
In Dr Akanu Ibiam, the three elements were well blended. Akanu Ibiam was deeply passionately committed to the Biafra struggle, (the struggle of his people and their neighbors for their freedom). Recall how he threw out the OBE title for the sake of Biafra. Recall how much he contributed in all deliberations both in the open and behind. Recall also how much he tried to bring his wisdom and international role and stature to help move the struggle, feed our starved people, etc. But he was not allowed to bring his immense experience to bear in the control of the decision-making machinery of Biafra. The same you can say to a good extent of Dr. Michael Iheonukara Okpara.
This book is available .Call 08036247812
Going back to the Russian Revolution and their leaders, Lenin – he had all the elements – deep emotion/passion for the struggle, reason (theoretically sound) and immense experience in the struggle and in the history of revolutionary science – all three elements combined to make him a democratic leader, who always ensured that the collective wisdom of his comrades were put on the table in any deliberations on what is to be done. He was a great manager of men and events, never lying to the people, never exploiting their predicament, never exploiting their emotions. Lenin did not hold the people through any act of manipulation. The people were held together through a common bond of deep emotion, rational understanding of what they were doing, and with experience of history.
Lenin’s premature death was responsible for the distortion in the philosophical foundation of the new society he tried to build. It thus fell under the spell of Josef Stalin and his men and crashed in the cause of its history.
The Self-determination struggle must be guided by deep but sincere and courageous emotional commitment to its realization, driven by the unbounded energy of the mass of our people, rational understanding of what we are fighting for, with experience drawn from both the history of our struggle and lessons from other lands. It must be guided by dedicated statesmen, who combine these three elements – emotional/passionate commitment, rational understanding of what we are fighting for and why we are fighting for it, and, above, all how to get to our destination that is the destination we are fighting for.
That destination allows the proposition of Haille Slessor – An Autonomous Region of Alaigbo (or with their Neighbors – Biafrans) with the rest of Nigeria.
If that fails, our people shall ultimately declare an independent Republic of their own – The Independent Republic of Alaigbo or The Independent Republic of Biafra; whichever name our people shall ultimately decide by popular choice with or without our immediate neighbors.
Former Vice president Atiku Abubakar and presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has warned Vice President Yemi Osinbajo against attempts to distort history for political expediency.
Atiku said this in reaction to Osinbajo’s comments on restructuring.
Osinbajo had fired the first salvo on Saturday, at the University of Ibadan, where he spoke at the ninth public lecture of Sigma Club, when he said some of those clamo for restructuring were those who opposed his and others efforts years back when they were in government.
“Let me explain my position clearly. I am not just an advocate of restructuring, there is no other government in Nigeria that has actively pursued restructuring such as we did when I was Attorney General in Lagos State.
“People talking about restructuring, if you ask them what they meant by restructuring, they won’t even know what it means and that is the problem we have to face.
“We started with fiscal restructuring, which is more of resource control. Should states control their own resources? We went to the Supreme Court. They argued that each state should control its own resources.
“The states that argued in favour of autonomy for states to control their resources were the oil producing states and Lagos State, while some others argued on the other side because they want to share oil money.
“We lost at the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court said no, that you cannot control your resources. If you are an oil-producing state, take 13 per cent extra, which is derivation.”
He said Lagos State further argued that it had ports and they served the entire nation, so the state should also take 13 percent derivation which the Supreme Court objected.
“All this time, this was 2000, some of those people, including the presidential candidate of (the) PDP, who is talking about restructuring, (and) was the vice president then, they opposed every step we took. Of course, we were taking the Federal Government to court then. They opposed every step.
“The next thing we did was that the states should be able to create their own local governments, which is autonomy of states.
“So, we created 37 new local governments in Lagos. The president then, Chief (Olusegun) Obasanjo, seized our local government funds and said we could not create new local governments.
“If you ask those people now talking about restructuring, none of them has done anything compared to what we have done. So, I am not a latter day convert to restructuring.”
But in his response, through his Presidential Campaign Organisation, Atiku said: “Given that restructuring has become the major issue in the 2019 elections and given that Prof. Osinbajo and his boss have been speaking discordant tunes on restructuring, we can understand their desperation to revise history. However, it is impossible to revise documented history.
“Professor Osinbajo needs to be reminded that there are well documented accounts in the Nigerian media chronicling Atiku Abubakar’s support and struggle for restructuring.
“To set the records straight, we recommend to Professor Osinbajo the article, ‘Nigeria: 6-1 Onshore-Offshore Jurisdiction Verdict’ written by Jide Ajani, then the Political Editor of Vanguard Newspapers and published on July 13, 2001.
In that piece, which is still available online (see Nigeria: 6-1 Onshore-Offshore Jurisdiction Verdict), Vanguard newspapers chronicled Atiku’s successful efforts to restructure the revenue allocation formulae; to allow littoral states of the Federation benefit from offshore oil proceeds. Ironically, it was precisely Osinbajo’s boss, Muhammadu Buhari, who, as military dictator, cheated these states of their just due by military fiat.
“It is also common knowledge that the six geopolitical zones structure which all parts of Nigeria benefit from today is the fruit of the collaborative efforts of His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, the late Alex Ekwueme and other patriots. Their efforts at restructuring Nigeria are captured in the Hansard of the 1995 Constitutional Conference, which is a public document and is still available at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. Professor Osinbajo may want to familiarise himself with that document.
“The question we want to ask Professor Osinbajo is this–why do he and his boss constantly resort to rewriting history? Why can they not campaign on their achievements? Is it that they are forced to campaign on subterfuge because they have no achievements to campaign on?
“President Buhari and vice president Osinbajo promised to make one equal to $1. They vowed to create three million jobs per annum. They promised to pay the unemployed “job seekers allowance.”They said subsidy was a scam. They also said they would defeat Boko Haram.
“Nigerians want to know if these promises have been kept. They are not interested in fairy tales about how Atiku Abubakar did not support restructuring because they know that he is and was and will always be an active promoter of restructuring.
“Everywhere he goes to campaign, Atiku Abubakar has used temperate and respectful language on both president Buhari and vice president Osinbajo. He has campaigned on his record of achievements, which include the 50,000 jobs he has created in his private capacity and on his policies and plans to Get Nigeria Working Again.
“We recommend this form of decent politicking to Prof. Osinbajo, even as we urge him to remember that as vice president, his words matter.

PRESS RELEASE
ISLAMIC MOVEMENT IN NIGERIA ATTACK TROOPS ON ESCORT DUTY AT ZUBA ON SATURDAY 27TH OCTOBER 2018
Troops of Army Headquarters Garrison on official duty escorting ammunitions and missiles from Abuja to Army Central Ammunition Depot in Kaduna State were attacked by some members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) sect at Zuba bridge, of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) at about 3.00pm on Saturday 27th October 2018.
The sect who were supposedly in a procession, established an illegal road block denying motorists free passage. When the troops’ convoy attempted to clear the road block, they met stiff opposition from the sect. Members of the sect used various objects to barricade the road and also pelted the troops with stones and other dangerous items. They smashed both military and civilian vehicles’ windscreens and windows.
They also attempted to overrun the escorts to cart away the ammunition and missiles the troops were escorting. This led to the troops opening fire to extricate themselves. Consequently, troops of 102 Guards Battalion in whose Area of Responsibility the incident occurred rushed to the convoy’s rescue.
Unfortunately, during the encounter 3 members of the sect were killed while 2 soldiers sustained various degrees of injuries and are being treated at a military medical facility.
Meanwhile, normalcy has been restored in the general area and members of the public especially those plying the Abuja – Zuba Road are requested to go about with their normal activities with the assurance from the NIgerian Army that no individual or persons would be allowed to disturb public peace and unprovoked attacks against military convoys.

I have always taken side with the interest of the ordinary people on the street.I have written enough via Internet to educate the minds of those who should know better.Mr Peter Obi has once asked the question : Are we cursed or are we the cause?
We are not cursed ,it is in human nature to be selfish and under the present skewed structure of Nigeria, self survival becomes the order of the day.We are the cause because we have not insisted that the right thing be done at all time.
I do not blame those that found themselves in the positions of authority .I do not blame those who have converted public goods to private use.
I blame few of us who have God’s anointing to provide platforms that would be used to liberate the people. The people urgently need credible people they would trust their lives with .The people are everyday praying for courageous ,visionary and fearless Leaders who will be ready to fight and stand for the interest of the ordinary people on the street.
History is there for all of us.Those who have fought for the people in truth and honesty have always lived forever. But those who wasted golden opportunities to take political decisions in favour of the people have always been thrown to waste-bin. Examples are many ! What is the relationship between political godfathers and godsons in Nigeria today? 99% have gone sour !
Yet,our clueless politicians have not learnt any lesson. They have continued in their mindless business of imposition ,forcing the people to accept empty heads, using public funds to bribe their way through, destroying the institutions of democracy while the people remain hapless and hopeless ! Animal Farm playing out live !
The last political party primary elections have shown the man in us! SELFISHNESS,TREACHEROUS AND WICKEDNESS!
I have bad news for the wicked political conquerors of today ; Your children will serve the children of that man on the street in the next generation if you do not build a fair ,just and equitable society for all today.Mark my words today!
We have failed our children and need to go back to base.
I will continue to preach good governance and public accountability via Bia Voice International(BVI Channel 1) and OurMumuDondo Movement.Even if i stand alone, with my team,we shall continue until the righteous assumes the position of authority .
Ndubuisi is an economist and a Director in BVI Channel 1
In every country where public servants are public emperors, then those who elected them are their slaves.
For a good leadership to be in place it must have a corresponding follower-ship.
The case of what is obtainable in Nigeria is a clear example of animal farm. Those who loot public fund are heroes while those who criticize them are seen as enemies of progress.
Our-Mumu-Don Do has started what we call Good governance ministry where we do not promise you of wonderful mansions in heaven and happy after life experience.

I am presently out of the country on a pre scheduled engagement.
In the past 24 hours, I have been inundated with calls from friends and political associates seeking clarification on the rumors of my departure from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which has dominated the media.
Let it be known that my path in politics is in the hands of the Almighty God, who has indeed been very faithful and gracious to me. I’m very grateful to God for this.
My vision in politics is a system that works for everybody, a social and political environment where everybody, every section, and every tribe not only counts, but is also seen to count. As leaders, we must be mindful of this, for any system built on anything less will not endure.
I am grateful to you – members of my family, my friends, political associates, and admirers across Nigeria and beyond – for your uncommon concern. I am indeed humbled by your kind words of solidarity and support.
Please, rest assured that I am still in the PDP.I’M STILL IN PDP
This young man refused to be drowned in the lies of one Nigeria protagonist,
He made a very powerful comment about the evil Nigeria has mated on his people and has vowed never to be part of Niger Delta that is not part of Biafra.
Igbo people are wise people and we need them to survive as a people.
