Chidinma Ojukwu, the young lady that went viral some months ago over the alleged killing of Super TV boss, Michael Ataga, has now been crowned Miss Cell 2022 in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
Ojukwu participated in a beauty pageant alongside other ladies at the correctional facility and emerged the winner of the competition.
The Spokesperson of Nigeria Correctional Service, Francis Enobore, confirmed the news explaining the reason behind the beauty pageant.
According to him, the beauty pageant is part of the activities the correctional services facility uses to ensure that inmates are in ‘sound and good spirit.
Enobore further stated that to ensure that inmates are in a high spirit, the correctional centres engage them in exciting competitions likes; pageantry, cooking competitions among others.
He said, “What happened is that as part of our reformation and rehabilitation programme and to also keep the inmates in a sound and good spirit, we organise a number of social engagement amongst them. Some could be recreational activities, some could be theatre work like entertainment.
There are a number of programs that we introduced to get the inmates happy and put them in a good frame of mind. First, we ensure that while they are there, they are open to correction, second, we ensure that they are there in good spirit in order to help them kill boredom. There are so many things we do. In line with this, the officer in charge of the Kirikiri correctional facility organised some competitions among the inmates like cooking, tailoring, make-up, among others.
“These are things that will make them happy because our primary responsibility is to keep them safe and sound. That was what happened and she emerged the best in the competition. It is part of what we do. In fact, the person in charge of the Kirikiri female prison has been doing marvellously well.”

If not all social media blogs will carry this, anyway it turns out, I am sure my business will probably get something out of all of this as against nothing up until this time. This is the last mail I will send. I have tried .Just in case you missed this ,here is it again,” she wrote on her Instagram page.

Former Governor Of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi has stated that diplomacy remains a very essential tool of Governance and Leadership in any society, nation or organisation.
Obi, who attended the inaugural lecture of the Anyaoku Institute for Diplomacy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, congratulated the University authorities on establishing the Institute which, he said, would go a long way in enabling people to learn the art of diplomacy.
Obi explained that diplomacy is not just vital for international relations but also for local governance and leadership, especially in a highly populated and diverse country like Nigeria, where the skills of negotiation and dialogue are needed to bring the different components of the nation together for peace and progress.
Nigeria’s cohesion and trust are at their lowest level today. In future, effective governance in the country will require specific skills to re-unite and rebuild trust among various parts of Nigeria. Consequently, skillful diplomacy, negotiation, and dialogue become the first assignments of the next incoming Leaders of our country,” Obi said.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, said Nigeria must first look inwards and prioritise its local relationships by strengthening its political union and economic integration, before considering other international relations.
Present at the event with the Former President were Former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku; the incoming Governor Prof Charles Soludo; the Obi of Onitsha, Igwe Alfred Achebe; Senator Uche Ekwunife; Senator Ben Obi; Chief Simon Okeke; the keynote speaker Prof Akin Idowu Osuntokun, and the host of this great event, the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof Charles Esimone.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has reacted to the ousting of Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi and His Deputy, saying it would take action when it receives documents from the ruling court.
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja earlier today, ordered the Governor and his deputy, Eric Igwe, to vacate their seats on the grounds that the PDP won the election on March 2019 and not its candidates.
Citing section 221 of the constitution, Justice Inyang Ekwo ordered the PDP immediately send names of replacements to INEC so as to conduct fresh elections.
The Commission has not been served with a copy of the said judgement. The Commission will meet and take a decision when it is served with a Certified True Copy of the judgement,” Mr Okoye said to Peoples Gazette when reached for clarification.
Justice Inyang Ekwo ordered the electoral body to stop recognising Mr Umahi and his deputy and that the Peoples Democratic Party send names to INEC to replace the governor and deputy.
The new development comes hours after the opposition PDP urged INEC to issue certificates of return to Iduma Igariwey and Fred Udogwu as the new governor and deputy for Ebonyi.
The party said the electoral office should confirm to serve as deputy governor forthwith, according to a short statement released by its media department on Tuesday afternoon.
The Convener, Good Governance Ministry (GGM), the first political ministry in Nigeria , Mr Chinedu Asuzu, has stated that the present agitation for the State Of Biafra will be redefined when people begin to experience Good Governance .Chinedu said that many of our people were too emotional about Biafra that they have ignorantly thought that power is an emotional game. Chinedu expressed his utter disappointment with the level of knowledge gap when it comes to the issue of Biafra . He therefore stated that good governance is the first thing our people should demand for before any other thing .
Asuzu, who made the call during an hour radio phone-in programme aired on Monday being 7th March ,2022 at Odenigbo 99.1 FM Obosi, frowned at the wickedness and selfishness of our political class to give the people Good Governance .
” Our people are so maltreated ,neglected and abandoned by the political elites that the income gaps between the poor and the rich are everyday widening with no solution at sight ,hence the cause of the agitations from different quarters . You could imagine that pensioners in many states in the south east have not been paid . A particular case in Anambra where Pensioners Gratuity were missing since 2017 yet we have an Accountant as the Governor.
Asuzu said that many people he met on the street have rejected Nigeria and electoral process because of issue of mistrust. Chinedu assured the radio listeners that the only way to resolve our issue is not to abandon political struggle no matter its deficiencies but to get actively involved to elect credible and passionate people who will serve public interest.
Some Callers said that they have lost total confidence in Nigeria system ,hence the resolve for a new nation called Biafra. While others acknowledged the efforts of GGM and Chinedu Asuzu to educate our people on the relationship between Biafra agitation and Good Governance pledging for their unalloyed supports towards ensuring that Good Governance reigns in our land.
Chinedu Asuzu advised all to support the efforts of GGM towards organising the ordinary people to make effective demand from those servants in Government. He encouraged all to be part of the people movement by registering via www.ggm.com.ng and https://registration.ggm.com.ng/ or call

Whether you knew that already or not, Bruce Fein has played an important role in the case of Nnamdi Kanu. He has been speaking and writing about the case outside Nigeria. His letters to the UN agencies and other international organizations are of great importance. The letters are of professional and international standards, which increased the chances of the case being taken seriously outside Nigeria. The primary work of a defense lawyer is to develop and present an alternative narrative than that provided by the prosecutor. Bruce Fein is very good at articulating an alternative, even a compelling alternative, narrative for the case of Nnamdi Kanu and the cause of IPOB’s agitation. Fein knows most American Senators and Congressmen personally. He has contact with major international media houses. He is useful to Nnamdi Kanu now and beyond.
Having had Bruce Fein as part of the case and given the spectacular theater created when the defense team walked out on the court because Bruce Fein was not allowed in as an observer, it will be very damaging now if Bruce Fein resigns from the cases in such a publicized controversial manner. Even though Aloy Ejimakor is equally good in the international law aspect of this case, Fein’s involvement allows Ejimakor to concentrate more on the work of the team in Nigeria.
However, as much as Bruce Fein has a role to play, I believe he will probably resign from any further representation if Ejiofor remains part of Nnamdi Kanu’s case. It will be surprising to see any lawyer willing to remain in the case if Ejiofor remains in the case. Bruce Fein is answerable to a higher ethical standard than what is obtained in Nigeria. He will not remain in the case with Ejiofor as a member of the defence team.
Ejiofor’s presence undermines every effort to defend Nnamdi Kanu. Ejiofor’s role as lawyer for Nnamdi case or in the case of IPOB is a negative one. Everybody is talking about it. Ejiofor having been associated with fraud, it rubs off on Kanu and IPOB. People are beginning to think that they are all fraudulent people. The concept of Biafraud is gaining ground rapidly. No lawyer of worth will be part of it. It is so glaring. Hence, Bruce Fein said to Ejiofor, in his letter to Ejiofor, ““How can you be blind to what all the world can see and understand?” Very apt! That question can actually be directed to Dr. Mike Ezekhome and all the lawyers involved in this case. Why are they failing to see and understand the implications of having Ejiofor as part of Kanu’s defense team?
A good lawyer does not allow any controversy around him to overshadow or interfere with his client’s case, which in itself is a controversy. Once you see that your involvement in a case could become controversial and constitute a distraction to your client’s case, you withdraw. The fact that Ejiofor is so desperate to remain Nnamdi Kanu’s lawyer in the circumstance shows you several things: first, that Ejiofor is incompetent and poorly trained as a lawyer, and second, that he has an intention to hurt Nnandi Kanu. He does not have the interest of Nnamdi Kanu at heart.
When Ejiofor threatened to sue me for defamation for saying this, I laughed. He does not understand that the fact that he concealed from Nnamdi Kanu his indictment for fraud and his active prosecution for fraud for six years was so egregious a conduct that it would be justified and legitimate to attribute any motive to him. His failure to understand the consequences of his action and inaction shows how poor he is. The same with every lawyer working with him. I have justification to question what is going on in Ejiofor’s office. I have justification to assume that his law firm is just a criminal enterprise. So, I am so elated to have the opportunity to explain this to the whole world in the course of the adjudication of any lawsuit he files. In fact, I will expand the case to join every lawyer in that law firm and, in fact, call every member of Kanu’s defense team as a witness. I want everyone of them to explain what he thought when he realized that Ejiofor was facing trial for fraud and forgery. I love it.
I expect that Ejiofor will withdraw or be fired before April 8, 2022 which is the date for the next hearing on the case. If not, I can say that an irreversible disaster has occurred in the case, and every member of the defense team, without exception, could be complicit in malpractice.

Mazi Uche Mefor, a former Deputy leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has said Nnamdi Kanu and the group has “false hope” of realizing Biafra Republic.
Mefor said Kanu and IPOB have false hope of achieving Biafra due to their current “criminality.”
In a Facebook post, the former deputy leader of IPOB said the group lost grounds for Biafra agitation by resorting to violence.
He accused the separatist group of committing crimes against humanity across the Southeast.
According to Mefor: “We shall continue to state the obvious. The IPOB faction under Nnamdi Kanu squarely and comprehensively lost the argument when they thoughtlessly and overzealously embraced and adopted violence and brigandage that snawbolled into criminality under the false hope of using it to restore Biafra.
“And yes, for them, that criminal conduct transplanted wholesale from Ambazonia, the crime against humanity they have been committing against their own, hurting businesses and violating the human rights of other Biafrans is a master to stroke Biafra Independence. They were wrong. They were warned!”
