BLAME IGBO LEADERS BEFORE YOU BLAME BUHARI-Imo Jonathan

Dear reader, please I need to first inform you that this article is lengthy, you need to take time to read through. It is a response to a brilliant Igbo daughter sister but at the same time a message to my Igbo brothers and leaders, it has to be detailed.

I have had a very good conversation with this brilliant Igbo daughter who after reading my article of yesterday titled: “Youths And National Development”, accused me and my party of doing nothing for Igbo youths. In her words “I guess you are part of this present administration. What have they done for Igbo youths? Is there any incentives put in place for them? Are they benefiting from all those programmes being paraded online. We want facts and figures not theory”

“Our youths are languishing with idleness, no proper skill acquisition for them, they don’t have the means to do so”

“The way forward to me should be now, making adjustment and change”

From my observations, she is not the only one having this perception about the current APC administration, a lot of our people still think this way despite what has been put on ground.

My job is not to defend the federal government here but to encourage our people to look beyond what the federal government has not done and begin to hold our leaders accountable for their own failure. Especially, knowing that South Eastern governors are deploying propaganda tools to make our people focus outside while they are busy stealing from them.

I know that the security challenges we face in Nigeria today is a big minus for President Buhari’s administration but we must still acknowledge his achievements. I am also urging him to do more in the areas of fighting corruption: containing radical Fulani elements who are putting him bad light: even and transparent deployment of social intervention programmes: high handedness of security agents in the South East; federal appointments: electoral reforms and restructuring.

Outside those President Buhari has done well for the South East. Apart from the ongoing construction of “Second Niger” (a landmark achievement), President Buhari has in 5 years done for us what no administration in the last 30 years has done for the South East. Especially in the areas of infrastructure and social intervention.

As requested by my sister, I will like to mention some of the things President Buhari has done for the South East and then pass my message.

1. Rehabilitation of Sections 1 to 4 of the Enugu — Port Harcourt Expressway (Sukuk Bond) (ongoing)

Those who move Enugu and Abia can confirm the completion of Section 1 to 2; Lokpanta-Umuahia Tower, Umuahia to Osisoma, heading to Aba.

2. Rehabilitation of Amansea–Enugu Border section of Onitsha-Enugu Expressway (Sukuk Bond) (ongoing)

3. Rehabilitation of 18km critical stretch of Onitsha–Awka Road (ongoing)

4. Construction of Second Niger Bridge: Completion of design of the Approach Roads from Onitsha and Asaba; Award of Main Construction Contract to Julius Berger; and funding of the project by the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund, PIDF.

In August 2018 PIDF paid 33 billion Naira (US$90 million) to Julius Berger for the Second Niger Bridge project and several other billions have been released to the contractors and work is going on speedily nonstop.

5. Rehabilitation of Arochukwu–Ohafia–Bende Road (ongoing)

6. Ariaria Market Electrification Project. This is part of Federal Government’s Energizing Economies Programme, which brought about stable and reliable electricity to all the 37,000 shops in Ariaria Market, by providing the Market with a gas-powered IPP.

7. Federal Government’s Energizing Education Programme being implemented in Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Ebonyi; and Nnamdi Azikwe University — Awka Campus, Anambra. The Programme will provide these Universities with an Independent Power Plant, as well as upgrade existing distribution infrastructure, and also provide street-lighting.

8. Completed Ikot Ekpene — Alaoji — Ugwuaji Switching Station and Transmission Line

9. Construction of Modern Medical Diagnostic Centre at the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia (FMCU)

10. Completed Nnamdi Azikiwe Mausoleum (contract originally awarded in 1996, abandoned at various times, Buhari Administration revived the project in 2016, and completed it in 2018).

11. Enyimba City Special Economic Zone: Definitive Agreements signed between Federal Government, Abia State Government and Enyimba City Development Company Limited on December 7, 2018.

12. Presidential Fertilizer Initiative — has led to the revival of the Ebonyi State Fertiliser and Chemical Company Limited (EFCCL), creating jobs and boosting the supply of fertilizer in the Southeast.

13. Social Investment Programme: 68,000 N-Power Beneficiaries across the 5 States of the South East; the School Feeding Programme has kicked off in all 5 States of the Southeast.

14. Pensions paid to Retired War-Affected (Ex-Biafran) Police: In 2017, the Buhari Administration paid 500 million Naira to clear pensions arrears that had not been paid since their presidential pardon in 2000. In addition to hundreds of constituency projects handed over to members of the House of Representatives and Senators from South East who are have account to our people.

I want my sister to know that particularly in Abia state, at least sixteen thousand (16,000) youths receive thirty thousand Naira (#30,000) every month from N-Power. And yearly the state receives about two billion Naira (2, 000, 000, 000) for school feeding. Currently, seventeen thousand (17,000) people across Abia have been enlisted for 20k monthly adhoc jobs from federal government. The same goes to other states of the South East. And these monies are paid to state governments which are PDP and they manage it all by themselves. The anchor person in Abia state is Chinenye Nwogu, please ask him, he has the record.

There are more opportunities from the federal government for our people that South eastern governors are not taking advantage of. Like the anchor borrower programme of the Central Bank of Nigeria, that runs into billions. All the South eastern states can take advantage of it to mobilise our people into massive rice production but they are acting as though they don’t know. Ebonyi state has benefited but those that wants to make federal government look bad are denying our people these opportunities.

I am sure my sister is not aware that President Buhari gave Abia state Fourteen Billion Naira (14, 000, 000, 000) bailout to pay Abia civil servants even when they were owing only 7.2 billion but they never did. In addition, Abia got about Thirty Four Billion Naira (34,000,000,000) Paris Refund, paid to them by Buhari. Excluding over Six Hundred Billion Naira (600,000,000,000) they have received in federal allocation and oil derivations. Yet nothing to show for all that.

This kind of gesture did not happen under PDP 16 years of rule. I hope they can counter me with opposing facts.

I know that more needs to be done but the federal cannot do all of it for us. As for the things I mentioned, they are facts and I did mention the person in charge of them in Abia state government.

I am particularly worried about the kind of leaders we have now in the East, they are a big disgrace. You can imagine Kaduna state governor saying the other day that very soon they can do without federal allocation. You need to visit that state and war ravaged borono state to see world class infrastructures being put in place by their governors while our governors are busy doing propaganda against federal government.

Yes Buhari has not done everything right and those are highlighted in my post. But the South East with all its potentials and industrious people is a shame unto itself. We are suffering from bad governors. Simple

It is so bad that these South East governors even reject good ideas once they will not benefit personally from it, including foreign investment. Currently I know an investor of Abia origin based in the United States of America who has registered 12 companies in the name of Abia, with interest to build Azuinmiri Seaport, Isiala Ngwa dry port, large scale mechanized agricultural settlement in Abia north, amongst other things. He even came with his Jewish investor partners to Aba to spend some days. But after meeting the governor once and they agreed to certain partnership commitments, they have been dogging him. Last year I called a commissioner in the state to find out why and he directed me to someone else. I even met a very close person to the governor who promised to reach out to him and up till now nothing has happened. This our brother is now back to the US and he is helping northern governors secure foreign investments. Kaduna state alone has attracted over Twelve Billion Dollars ($12,000,000,000) in the last 5 years. You need go there and see how many industries that has been established in the last 5 years whilst our governors are busy buying properties outside the South East, accumulating landed properties belonging to the people at home and building ashawo hotels.

It may surprise you to know that the gas pipeline construction that is going on in northern Nigeria linking Kogi, Abuja, Kaduna and other northern states with close to 5000 megawatts of power station to be built along with it was facilitated by an Igbo man. That is close to 3 billion dollars investment. Meanwhile Alagbo has abundant gas deposit that we can use to develop world class power projects and sell power to others.

Yet we are not talking about falling standards of education in the South East, ravaging cultism, drug abuse and the general youth apathy towards the acquisition of technical skills or apprenticeship. Most of them today are only interested in joining cult groups in order to serve as killer thugs and otmkpus (praise singers) for these same Igbo politicians who are destroying their future. Meanwhile northern governors are sponsoring their youths in their thousands to foreign universities to go and acquire quality education while our schools in the South East are becoming shadows of themselves, with teachers being owed months of salaries and our curriculum not reflecting our current reality. We are practically eroding the gains of the past when we were much ahead in academics but it won’t manifest now until later.

And what we must worry more about is the failure of parents in Igbo land. These children who are fast becoming nuisance belong to one Igbo family or the other who have failed in their duty to bring up their children in the best ways possible. We were known for good child upbringing but things are deteriorating. Just pay a good attention on social media and you will understand how bad things are getting for us. Especially, this generation of Igbo youths are lousy and senselessly boastful. Unlike in the past where an Igbo man could be said to be rich and unassuming, this generation of Igbo are tactless, exhibitional and insultive. Even many of our ladies on social media are a bunch of untrained characters. The rate of divorce amongst us is alarming. Infertility amongst our women is high and we have high number of unmarried matured ladies. A claim to feminism is now the lot of our ladies even when many of them do not understand it’s real meaning. And our leaders don’t even know that is a precursor to a dangerous future

Have we bothered to find out why? Have we bothered to understand the social implication on our future?

I know it is not all about bad stories, we still have Igbos who are striving to make a difference, we still have exemplary Igbo families like the Okonjo Iwuala family who despite being affluent has been able to train their children exactly the way Igbo children are supposed to be trained.

But the quality of leadership across board is something to be worried about. We are being led by people who care less about all these aforementioned issues. Our current leaders are driven by their primitive GREED and egocentrism. But for few amongst them one can hardly believe that these people are of the same tribe with the likes of Okpara and Mbakwe who once governed the region. Because even as opposition, Mbakwe was able to do exceptionally well just few years after the bitter genocidal war that was brought against us. His achievements were such that we quickly forgot we came out of war. There is no comparison between him and these bunch of looters and socially disoriented characters we have now, who thrive in propaganda and thugry.

Our leaders are confusing our people while they are busy stealing from them. State governors failures should not be blamed on the Federal government. We should blame the federal government for their own failure but we should know the dividing line of responsibility.

Since Ohaneze has become a group of wakabout who are beholden to governors and are ardently into partisan politics instead of holding our leaders to account, we must find other appropriate structures to use to bring our leaders back on track. Or we all stop condemning IPOB that is only filling a vacuum of leadership created by these men.

God Bless Ala Igbo

Great Imo Jonathan

Conspiracy Against Soludo Thickens As Aspirants Insist On Primaries

It is clear that Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s governorship ambition seems to have been a cog in the wheel of other aspirants’ aspirations as they all unanimously insisted that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) must conduct a free, fair and credible primary election for the most popular candidate to emerge.

That was the resolution of the aspirants on the occasion of the one year anniversary of a socio-political organisation called Afa Igbo Bu Ofu held at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre Awka at the weekend.

Although Prof. Soludo, APGA state chairman Sir Nobert Obi, and some other frontline government functionaries were not seen at the event where attendees adorned APGA regalia, it was obvious that Soludo was the reason for the gathering.

A participant and member of AFA IGBO BU OFU who spoke to our correspondent in anonymity said the body language of the state government tilted towards the ex-CBN governor and that if Prof. Soludo was eventually given the ticket, he would record a landslide victory for the APGA because of his pedigree and antecedents, irrespective of the grand design to pull him down within the APGA fold.

Meanwhile, other aspirants who spoke with journalists at the event, maintained that the party constitution and the electoral guidelines which made provisions for primary election to be conducted must be strictly adhered to, to avoid disintegration and balcanisation of the party, stressing that the November 6 governorship election is a must win for APGA to guarantee the consolidation and continuation of good governance in Anambra engendered by Governor Willie Obiano.

Anambra 21: HURRICANE SOLUDO SOLUTION- Joe Anatune

They are volunteering their time, their talents and treasures to a compelling idea whose time has come. Both the message and messenger are blowing across like a hurricane. They are men and women who believe that the best livable one Anambra Smart Megacity in Africa is possible.

Anambra-born Patrick Okpala lives in the United States but hails from Achina. Patrick is a well built, vigorous, passionate and fascinating man, whose heart is rooted in our homeland. He is an ardent believer and apostle of brand Soludo Solution.

Alex Okoli, Onyi Anatune, Prof. Jason Nwankwo, Francis Okonkwo, Daniel Opara, Emma Onu, Sony Anuka, Sam Iweka, Sir Benjamin Uduji, Okwy Ozo , Ugonna Okeke, Bonny Okoli, Sheriff Ezenwa, Dr Ikenna Nwegbe, Ezechukwu Ibekwe and many others in USA, UK, Japan, China, South Africa, Canada, etc, share the same passion about the beautiful prospect of a Soludo governorship in Anambra State.

In Lagos, Ibadan, Warri, Kano, Abuja, Enugu, Aba, Benin, Kaduna, Nsukka, Jos, Port Harcourt, Kastina, Ilorin, Ogbomoso, Abakaliki, Umuahia, Calabar, Uyo, etc, there are multitudes of Soludo Solution believers under the umbrella of 24 different Soludo Support formations and growing.

Back home in Anambra, the believers and groups stare you in the face in every hamlet you go. You will also notice multiples of events by the different groups virtually on a daily basis spreading the good news from the brand in clear display of their endearment of the brand’s rational and emotional endowments. This has never happened before.

On the heels of popular demand, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has acceded to the clarion call and has thrown his hat into the ring.

Of course, as a versatile and skillful pugilist, it has been for the brand ala Mohammed Ali, like a “rumble in the jungle” where it is ferociously knocking on doors and winning hearts to the admiration of its fans, whose number keep growing by the minute.

But what is the glue, the aura of the Soludo Solution brand? What makes it a tick that those who experience it strive always for repeat purchases and never fail to tell others?

Humanity is inundated with many challenges and in this age of digitalization, such challenges come in split seconds. The worldview of Soludo Solution is the provision of Solutions to such challenges, so that the quality of life can be improved. Simply and succinctly put, this iconic brand solves problems and creates opportunities.

Over time, the brand has shown its dexterity in supporting humanity to live a better life. Such interventions are countless. Recall these instances: the prodigious recommendations of brand Soludo Solution when a bewildered world was grappling with the invasion of Covid-19, the way out of the EndSARS youth agitations and protests, helping the world pull out of the 2008 global financial meltdown, the banking consolidation that spurned our bigger, stronger and more reliable banks that support economic development, refocusing on the way we gather and use data for better national planning, polling development capital for African infrastructure upscaling, securing debt relief for a trapped nation and creating millions of jobs for our youths, to mention a few.

Importantly, the Soludo Solution brand has a heart; a large heart that is caring, passionate, amiable, compassionate and reliable. It does what it says. It recognises that a man or woman dies when he or she loses hope. Soludo Solution gives hope, keeps hope alive and tenaciously works to realise dreams.

The footprints of brand Soludo Solution is with us, like a second shadow – in our homes, on the streets, in our markets, in our village squares, in our schools, in short, everywhere we go.

Today, the brand is at the peak of its lifecycle and in very high demand across the globe. The critical mass of Anambra State has experienced some components of the brand and are poised to explore its full offerings to build on Governor Willie Obiano’s good works.

The foregoing is the undercurrent for the phenomenal clamour for the brand across the length and breadth of the state. It is an aggregation of the brand muscles, experientials and achievements by its source of authority – Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, over a well and globally celebrated distinguished career trajectory. It is no surprise that it has strong presence and acceptance in every ward and polling unit in the state and spreading like a hurricane that promises to upscale the life of the masses. It is happily here to work and serve Ndi Anambra and God Almighty.

Anambra 21: Ekwunife’s Quest To Become The Next Governor- Linus Chukwuma

On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, shortly after the submission of her governorship nomination forms at the party National secretariat Abuja, Senator Uche Ekwunife became -both the only female and first aspirant to submit her nomination forms- ahead of the very important Peoples Democratic Party primary election, come June.— unreservedly the Senator is well prepared, experienced and competent to pilot the affairs of the state.

Curiously, like myself, many had their eyes fixed to drink from the deep well of experience, or put differently hear from Ekwunife during the press briefing, and I was not surprised she did not disappoint the overflowed audience. Her intellectual fecundity, grit, performance in politics and if I’m not missing anything, vision will always take the centre stage whenever such situation presents itself. If truth be told, Ekwunife should be a governor Ndi Anambra should afford not to miss.

“I am running for gubernatorial election because I want to move Anambra state forward”, said Ekwunife. No doubt, what she has demonstrated till date in politics from the moment she was first elected as a lawmaker in 2007 gives credence to the statement. ..No better way to scrutinise an elected officer, than to look at their achievements. Testimonies abound that Ekwunife has been the best lawmaker from East of the Niger with unprecedented achievements.— it shows that gender is not a limitation.

Let me at this juncture, officially congratulate the woman we like to call Iyom for her genuine interest to drive the economic development of the state following her submission of governorship nomination forms. The Igbo-Ukwu born senator’s aspiration is for good governance, sustainable development and prosperous Anambra.

In my personal capacity I conducted a survey and the result shows that with Ekwunife on the PDP ticket women will be more motivated to cast their ballots this year. They are very reliable, consistent and a very powerful voting bloc. They have a lengthy history of organising their union, house, sorority, church et al. And for the fact that Ekwunife has appealed to their progressive sensibilities should indeed worry whoever that is running against her.

The enthusiasm following Ekwunife’s declaration has not been seen since the creation of the state. There’s a clamour for female elected governor in Nigeria, however, in Anambra the matter is gaining momentum simply for what the only female aspirant stands for. This is a woman who has used every opportunity given to her to serve humanity. She has empowered, attracted more projects as well as jobs for people of different demographics more than her contemporaries. Also performing excellently well in her primary responsibilities as a lawmaker.

From Anambra south to central and down to North women play decisive role in elections and there overwhelming acceptance of the aspiration of the Chairman Senate Committee on Science and Technology is a huge boost to the quest for a first female elected governor. And like Ekwunife remarked, public confidence, antecedents, gender and other variables formed part of her winning strategy to return PDP to Agu Awka.

All told, this is a defining moment and it must not be traded with. If the party wants to truly bag the light of the Nation as one of its states knowing that 2023 is almost at hand, the delegates should not fail to nominate Ekwunife because by all standards she stands tall and shoulders high above the rest in the race for the governorship seat of the state.

INEC Getting Ready To Implement Full E-Voting System

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed it is finalising the process of acquiring electronic voting devices ahead of the 2023 elections.

Festus Okoye, chairman, INEC information and voter education committee, said over 50 companies were invited by the commission to demonstrate their various e-voting machine solutions.

In September, the commission carried out a test run of the anticipated electronic voting system in Nigeria.

Mahmood Yakubu, INEC chairman, later told a house of representatives committee that the commission was “determined” to deploy e-voting machines in elections, “possibly beginning with the Anambra governorship election in 2021.”

INEC Commissioner For  Voters Education told Newsmen that some of the electronic devices it is seeking to procure will be deployed for the continuous voter registration that will commence this year.

“The commission is committed to deepening the use of technology in the electoral process and the commission is committed to the introduction of electronic voting machines in Nigeria,” he was quoted as saying.

“The commission is presently engaged in the procurement of INEC voter enrolment devices (IVED) for the planned voter register update processes. These devices will be used to enrol Nigerians that have attained the age of 18 years, clean up the voters register and acquire additional biometric that will be in consonance with the use of electronic voting machines.

“The commission invited over 50 companies engaged in hard and software production to demonstrate the different brands and versions of their electronic voting machines. The companies demonstrated the different electronic voting machine solutions available.

Some of the companies demonstrated the solutions virtually. The commission is analysing all the demonstrated systems for purposes of choosing the ones that are in tandem with our ecosystem, is rugged, simple to use and easily maintained.”

The INEC commissioner also said said the electoral umpire is looking forward to the amendment of the electoral act to enable e-voting, adding: “The encumbrance of the deployment of full technology in elections should be removed.

Those Who Initiated The Asari New Biafra Government

Kingdoms aren’t built in dreams, they’re built on sacrifice and struggle.
I’m glad that we finally found our way back to each other, because for a while, i wasn’t sure that we could.

There is a difference being consulted and being dictated to. Saturday, 13th of March, was indeed a historic day in our struggle. A day the Biafra National Council, Chairman, Edi-Abali of Kalabari Kingdom, Alhaji Asari Dokubo, emerge as the Chairman of Biafra De-facto Customary Government Implementation Committee.

On this day, the National Chairman of BNC, emerged as the head, after the overwhelmed endorsements from the organisations below.

1, Kalabari National Assembly
2, Niger Delta People’s Salvation Front
3, Joint Revolutionary Council Of Biafra. 4, Biafra Sovereign State Agitators
5, Biafra United Council
6, Biafra Revolution Organisation
7, Salvation People’s Of Biafra
8, Ijaw People’s Movement
9, Indigenous People Of Biafra.

Alhaji Asari Dokubo, went further in announcing the names of the executives that will work along with him in key positions. He also called on all Pro-Biafra groups, to show no fear while embracing the Biafra De-facto Customary Government Implementation Committee, for this is the final push towards Biafra Sovereignty.

This remarkable achievement became a success with the dedication and perseverance of the names below.

Uchenna Asiegbu, Dr. Emeka Okeadu, Barr, Emeka Emekesiri, Mazi Uche Mefor, Ike Nwanonenyi, Ikenna Obibi Egeonu, Obidi Obienu, Eberechukwu Anigbogu, Uduogu Nwanyinya, Fred Onyeali, George Onyibe, Dr Chukwuma Egemba, Dr. Madu Afamefuna, Christ Use, Solomon Egbo, Eze Njoku, Uchenna Nwokonkwo, Rubby Nwokonkwo, Uche Innocent Nmaram, Elder Iju Lawson, Engr, Christian Nwosu, etc, and of course the Voice Of Biafra International and other Pro-Biafran News Media’s who canvassed endlessly for the unity of Biafrans.

The father of the nation Chief Dr. Ralph Uwazurike, gave his blessings, after he advised on general restitution and forgiveness among all Pro-Biafran groups.

Today, it’s no longer a question of, when are we going to come together? I think the right question should be, what qualities don’t we have?
The truth is, we all want the same thing…To bring Biafra back to the world map. And our coming together has proven that when the goal is for the greater good, all groups puts aside their differences and work as one.

And in the near future, when we march to Hague, Zanzibar and finally into the United Nations, we march in together.

But for those in our midst, who still go about criticising our collective efforts.
I wonder how long it will take them to realise that they are being used!
At first,
They’re usually silence, then followed with critics, then with collaboration.
That is what the enemy learned from the colonial masters, how to set the people, tribes and nations against themselves, while they cart away their resources.

History has it that, past great leaders has prophetically cautioned that, ” A house divided against itself cannot stand.” And we are at a similar crossroads, and a true leaders does not expect his house to fall, and neither do we.

The courageous Biafran leader, further called on volunteers from the twenty legally created provinces of the Biafran Nation, to step forward for the setting up of provincial structures of governments.
He also stated that our government will focus more on how to improve our Security, Agriculture, Education, Medicine, including Science and Technology, etc.
He maintained that we will use every peaceful means to pursue our cause, and will never go to war with anybody, no matter the level of provocation.

He concluded by addressing our brothers and sisters who happens to fall across our legal border lines.
He promised that we won’t leave them behind, but at the same time he urged them to do the needful by joining the struggle for freedom.

The BIM-MASSOB have sent in it’s congratulatory message to Alhaji Asari Dokubo on his emergence as the Chairman of the Biafra De-facto Customary Government Implementation Committee, followed by Biafra Nation, The Igbo Nationalities Movement, National Security Youth Council, and many others.

The Biafra De-facto Customary Government Implementation Committee, is working tirelessly to help bridge that divides that have been missing in our entire landscape for dacades.
The priority of this committee, is to ensure the inclusion of all residents in all legally created Biafra provinces.

As a province, we are all neighbours, neighbours who have lived peacefully with each other, fights for each other, supports each other, and no one can tell our stories better than our true leaders.

The truth is, we are all related, it’s just a question of how far back one can trace his or her own family tree. Deep down, all of us have shared blood in our veins. And if we are all linked to each other, then we are one big family.
Which is why every Biafran must be addressed with equal respect, no matter how old they’ are. This is because you never can tell the sacrifice his or her bloodlines have made for our cause.

And by coming together we are sending a very strong message to each family who lost love ones, and to the world in general, that we will never rest until Biafra Sovereignty is fully restored.

The enemy tried to use our passion for Biafra to divide us and instigate violence in our land, so they can step in and destroy us. But they never truly understood the word “Biafra.”
And at the end, it was that same passion and love for Biafra, that has brought us all back together.

Biafra alive.

Anambra 21: PRM Restoration Time: 25/03/2021

Good morning my people, this is RESTORATION TIME.

Theme: The Love of Money (1)
Text: 1 Timothy 6:10

The text says, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Permit me to say that one of the major reasons Ndigbo found themselves in this political bondage today is their love for money. There is nothing wrong about money, money is good and essential but when we are so desperate to have money or accumulate wealth to the extent of committing evil and abominations then we got it all wrong. No doubt , God made Ndigbo industrious, but someone said that we have made ourselves slavishly industrious and I agree because most of us are blinded by the desire to make money by all means.

The worse thing I have seen in Alaigbo is majority of the people celebrating those who made their money through evil means, therefore encouraging others especially the younger ones do the same.

This attitude (selfishness and greed for money) of many of us is what destroyed our politics. We have succeeded in turning our politics to MONEY POLITICS or CASH AND CARRY POLITICS. That is the reason virtually all the billionaires in Anambra state are declaring interest to be our next governor, because it has become normal (aru gbaa afo oburu omenala) that with money the coast is clear.

So, being a billionaire and soon trillionaire is now number one qualification to be a Governor in Alaigbo. This is wrong and a shame to Ndigbo.
PRM is here to say No and to change the game. We are here to fix our politics, insist that henceforth the right things are done always which will give us the right leadership. To achieve that, we (the people) should shun the love of money and wait for God’s blessings that makes rich without sorrow.

Repent now and join PRM today as we continue to educate, preach, sensitize and mobilize our people for good governance and freedom. May God help us all in Jesus name, amen.

South East Region Must Produce The Next President-Igbo Group

Our CONCERN OVER THE OMINOUS SIGN FROM THE PDP PRESIDENTIAL REVIEW PANEL REPORT RECOMMENDING THE SCRAPPING OF ZONING FOR ITS 2023 PRESIDENTIAL TICKET

The Igbo Leadership Development Foundation (ILDF), in consultation with several pan-Igbo organizations, especially the New Generation Leadership Development Foundation (NGLDF), and well-meaning Nigerians wishes to place on public consciousness as follows:

1. We feel greatly worried by the recommendation of the Bala Mohammed Committee, set up by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to review the party’s performance in the 2019 Presidential election. In summary, the review panel recommended the scrapping of zoning for the PDP presidential ticket in 2023. The PDP after receiving the Panel’s report set up what it called a technical committee to review the Panel’s report and get ready for adoption.

2. We are aware of the surreptitious moves within the party to zone its presidential ticket to the North. That explains why the Bala Mohammed Committee mentioned North East particularly for consideration if zoning must be contemplated at all by the party.

3. For those who missed the panel’s report, permit us to refresh your minds with some excerpts, and we note: the Bala-led Committee predicated this wacky decision on the need to get the best hands to pilot Nigeria. Bala’s rambling speech read in part: “In line with certain unwritten conventions of the nation’s history, many people think that for fairness and equity, the North-East and South-East geo-political zones that have had the shortest stints at the Presidency should be given special consideration in choosing the presidential flag bearer of the party for the 2023 election.

4. “While we admit that this is a strong argument, we should not lose sight of the fact that Nigeria is endowed with many capable and very experienced leaders in every part of the country. “Moreover, the exigencies of the moment demand that nothing should be compromised in choosing the leader with the attributes to disentangle the country from the present quagmire. “Therefore, we think that every Nigerian from every part of the country should be given the opportunity to choose the best candidate through a credible primary election, as a way of institutionalizing a merit-based leadership recruitment process for the country.”

5. We therefore believe that this panel’s report, contradicted itself and threw both caution and constitution of the PDP into the gutter by recommending that PDP presidential ticket be open to all Nigerians, and an all-comers affair.

6. For the avoidance of doubt, permit us to quote the PDP constitutional provision on zoning. The rotation and zoning principle was engrained into the PDP party’s Constitution in 2009. Article 7 (2) (c) of the PDP Constitution states: “In pursuance of the principle of equity, justice and fairness, the party shall adhere to the policy of rotation and zoning of party and public elective offices, and it shall be enforced by the appropriate executive committee at all levels”.

7. So, in line with this express provision of the PDP constitution, since power has resided in the North for two straight terms it has to move South, specifically to South East, in the spirit of rotation and zoning, which has been the practice since 1999. All the political parties ought to flow with this national understanding. PDP, APC, and other major parties cannot be moving North when power is supposed to be moving South, if they hold the unity and continued corporate existence of this country dear to heart.

It is in this context that Igbo Leadership Development Foundation found the Governor Bala Mohammed-led PDP Post-Election Review Panel report submitted to the Prince Uche Secondus-led NWC very vexatious, provocative and unacceptable and indeed condemnable.

8. This report has attempted to repudiate the principle of zoning and rotation of the presidential seat between North and South Nigeria, which has brought so much stability and sanity to the polity since the return of the country to democratic governance in 1999.

9. Such party leaders pushing for the jettisoning of zoning and rotation of Presidential seat when their zones have filled the office based on the same principle, are promoting injustice in an unhealthy and ungentlemanly equivocation, which goes to reinforce the belief by many that there is no honour and decency in politics in Nigeria, particularly in the PDP. You recall that a one-time governor and now senator once called the PDP “Papa Deceive Pikin” and rightly so.

10. We in ILDF can only remind such leaders in the PDP and indeed in all political parties who now believe that zoning no longer matters, to refresh their minds and recall that the one reason the PDP lost power in 2015 was because of repudiation of zoning which presupposed that the North should complete its eight years under former president Umar Yar’dua. We need not remind those politicians who believe that the PDP will return to power at the center through elite conspiracy to read the handwriting on the wall and see a repeat of history in the making. The protest votes, which swept the PDP out of Aso Rock is fermenting again and the leaders who are goading their Political parties along the inglorious path have only themselves to blame if they do not perish the plot forthwith.

11. ILDF wants to place on record that we recognize the fact that all these surreptitious moves to scuttle zoning in the political parties is aimed at stopping the South East from producing the President of Nigeria in 2023, being the only zone yet to take a turn on that count in the Southern part of Nigeria.

12. Consequently, we call upon the critical stakeholders of the PDP in particular and all the other political parties and indeed all well-meaning Nigerians to urgently and publicly denounce the Bala Mohammed report.

13. ILDF wishes to warn that there will be consequence if our efforts at promoting peace and unity in Nigeria through dialogue is sabotaged; and if the hope and aspiration of the South East to produce the President of Nigeria in 2023 is frustrated and unduly dashed through such machinations.

14. In specific terms, the ILDF will go all out in mobilizing the South East to get even with any political party which believes or acts as though the South East does not count in the current political equation.

15. It will be recalled that the Igbo Leadership Development Foundation, in its pursuit of peace and national unity, organized a National Conversation – The Great Debate for National Unity, which focused on Federal Character, Restructuring and Rotation of Presidential Power in Nigeria. That historic event held on March 5, 2020 at Sheraton Hotel Abuja, organized by ILDF in collaboration with Gregory University Uturu, New Generation Leadership Development Foundation and Center for International Advanced Professional Studies, Lagos.

16. We will continue to preach unity, equity and fairness in the relationships among ethnic nationalities in Nigeria, including the rotation of Presidential power in our polity.

17. The Igbo Leadership Development Foundation (ILDF) remains a pan-Igbo sociopolitical group, focusing on promoting good governance, equity and conscientious leadership in Nigeria with particular interest in the South East geopolitical zone.

18. As you are aware, the Foundation is, at the moment, promoting the emergence of a Nigerian President of South East extraction in the 2023 General Elections. The simple reason is that the South East is the only geopolitical zone in Southern Nigeria that has not produced a President for the country in the present democratic dispensation.

19. For practical purposes, the ILDF has been consulting and searching for the “best of the best”, of south east extraction, and has narrowed the search to four personalities. ILDF is proud to announce that it has come to the conclusion that any of these four great Igbo sons will make great President of Nigeria, of South East extraction, and they are as follows in no particular order:

1. Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, former President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation

2. Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, former Governor of old Abia State, former National Chairman of All Nigerian Peoples Party, and current Honourable Minister of Science and Technology

3. Mr. Peter Obi, former Governor Anambra State, and former Vice Presidential candidate

4. From the corporate world, we strongly recommend: Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, former CEO of Pfitzer and Neimeth Pharmaceuticals

20. We believe that the emergence of a Nigerian President of South East extraction is not only long overdue, but also a win-win; and most auspicious at this point in our nation’s history, as it would complement the post-war Reconciliation, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction policy of government and cement our nation’s unity. We firmly believe that full Re-integration of the South East into the nation’s polity, which was unfairly left out among the ‘3Rs’, will be best achieved by electing a Nigerian president of South East extraction.

21. The emergence of Nigeria President of South East Extraction will also douse the nerve of separatist agitation by people who strongly believe, rightly or not, that Nigeria has continued to deal unfair blows to the people of South East because of the civil war.

22. At this point in Nigeria history, the power-givers and power influencers are expected to use the Obasanjo / Falae formula to zone the Presidency to the South East in 2023.

23. We wish to seize this opportunity to thank the growing number of patriotic citizens from all parts of the country who have thrown their weight behind the push for the emergence of Nigerian President of Igbo extraction.

24. Any political party which chooses to ignore this prevailing national political sentiment does so at its own peril; and should be prepared to forgo the support of the South East in particular and that of well-meaning Nigerians who believe in fairness, equity and justice in general.

25. We therefore emphatically conclude: The Rotation Principle to South East to produce the next president for Nigeria in 2023 would be the political glue for continued peace and unity, and the smartest way forward in containing the lingering injustices against South East ; and lingering ill feeling over the Nigeria -Biafra civil war.

26. Thank you for your kind attention.
