The Current Structure Of Nigeria Encourages Consumption

With the current structure of Nigeria , there is no future . Nigeria Government will continue to borrow money to sustain consumption pattern. Government at all levels will continue to fail. When Government fails , everything fails.

GGM will continue to preach the message of ideological politics. Our people must understand that building a modern society is not a rocket science. It requires deliberate plan and revolutionary character to ensure timely execution of short term plans. Anambra State is setting the pace.

Ndigbo Apprenticeship System Will Be Institutionalized – Chinedu Asuzu

The Leader, Good Governance Ministry (GGM), a political interest group, Mr Chinedu Asuzu, has canvassed that the indigenous apprenticeship system of Ndigbo should be institutionalized throughout former eastern Nigeria .The system even without legal backing has assisted Ndigbo to remain competitive in Nigeria.

Asuzu, who made the call during an hour radio phone-in programme aired on Monday being 31st January ,2022 at Odenigbo 99.1 FM Obosi, argued that the system of apprenticeship must be upgraded to meet the expectations of 21st century.

“Thank God that the incoming Governor of Anambra is an economist ,so he understands the indigenous economic model that has sustained the economy of alaigbo even when the monetary policies were against them. The apprenticeship system has made the son of nobody to become somebody in the society. This is a system that encourages hardworking ,humility ,service to God and humanity .A Master (Oga) brings a servant(boy) from poor background and trains him in a particular trading skill for an agreed number of years and thereafter the ‘Oga’ settles the Servant(boy) at the end of an agreed period with certain sum of money. What determines the success of the servant is hardworking and determination. The system does not allow or encourage favouritism ,nepotism or unproductivity as the case with Nigeria Government system. It is purely driven on the basis of incentive and sanction .This system has made it possible for Ndigbo to spread round the world and cannot be stopped by any Government policy. GGM is encouraging Prof Soludo Government to establish a government Agency that will ensure that the practice is made functional in line with ethical standard. In addition to apprenticeship system , skill/technology training schools should be modernized and encouraged as the current certificate based education is obsolete and outdated . Food production and animal husbandry training schools should be made to function in real sense .Farming and teaching jobs should be highly lucrative to attract the best hands ”

Asuzu said that top of what GGM expects Soludo to do is to sponsor executive bill to the State House Assembly on institutionalizing Apprenticeship System in Anambra State. Many other Callers stated other areas that they would want Prof Soludo to review urgently . Among them was a Pensioner who requested that Soludo government should pay pensioners their gratituity . Other Callers spoke strongly against touting in motor parks and markets as the major issue affecting the hardworking people of Anambra State and advised Soludo to urgently address that .

Chinedu Asuzu advised all to support the efforts of GGM towards organising the ordinary people to make effective demand from those servants in Government. He encouraged all to be part of the people movement by registering via www.ggm.com.ng and https://registration.ggm.com.ng/

Nnamdi Kanu Ask IPOB Members to Embrace Peace

The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has called on the members of IPOB, to avail themselves in the ongoing peacemaking process.

This was Kanu’s stand as revealed to newsmen in Owerri, on Monday by his lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor after they had visited Kanu last Thursday at the Department of State Security, DSS, detention facility in Abuja.

He said the peace process, was important because enemies were trying to cause disharmony regarding the struggle for the actualization of Biafra.

According to Ejiofor: “Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu deeply appeals to UmuChineke to avail themselves of the peace initiative presently ongoing and not to be distracted anymore. He further implored all Umuchineke to keep their eyes on the ball because enemies are struggling in vain to entrench disharmony.

Onyendu reiterates that the ongoing interventions towards peaceful coexistence must be respected, encouraged and abided by. His call for unity among the entire UmuChineke at all levels, who believe in his peaceful message cannot be overemphasised.

Further, Onyendu extends his warm regards to millions of his fans and followers who have equally remained consistently resolute and focused. He is convinced that the present situation will only last a while and he will emerge victoriously.

“He also used the opportunity to offer special prayers for me in commemoration of my birthday, as he believed most strongly that the future is crystal bright and holds many good tidings. Consistent with our usual request, we crave your unrelentless prayers and supplications to the Almighty Chukwuokike Abiama. It will surely end in Praises,” Ejiofor said.

People Obey Sit-at-home Order Out of Fear of Being Killed- Asari Dakubo

Asari Dokubo, leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force (NDPSF), says people in the south-east obey the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) out of fear of being killed.

IPOB had ordered a sit-at-home order every Monday across the south-east but had suspended the directive in September 2021.

Despite the suspension of the directive, there have been incidents of violence in the region reportedly linked to the sit-at-home order.

However, IPOB has repeatedly denied that its members are behind the attacks, and asked the governors of the region to “deal decisively with” anyone caught enforcing the suspended directive.

Speaking on Sunday during a Facebook live, Dokubo accused Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, of causing the closure of schools and businesses in the south-east.

He added that people only obey the order out of fear of being killed, and not because they love the Biafra leader.

“IPOB said Igbo people should not go about their business; they should not go to school. So, if we Igbos no longer go about our business and go to school, what else should we be doing? That’s why all the boys are going into fraud,” he said.

IPOB is worse than a terrorist organisation. It is a satanic movement. They tell them to eat the flesh of human beings, and they eat it.

If people sit at home, it is that they are afraid of you people. It is not because you people are powerful. They don’t know you people are nothing.

People are afraid of being killed that’s why they’ve continued to sit at home, not because they love Nnamdi Kanu. Why is there no sit-at-home in Port Harcourt, Calabar, Uyo? It is because the government of these places are saying ‘don’t ever come here’.

“Very soon, Igbos will come out and say ‘it is okay; our old women are starving; they can’t go to the farm, markets’. At Onitsha market, people are afraid of doing businesses because they are scared of being killed.”

Dokubo also said contrary to accusations by IPOB, he did not betray Kanu in relation to the latter’s arrest in Kenya.

I don’t know where Nnamdi Kanu was living, I don’t know where he took off from. They said I was the person who gave him up,” he said.

“You accused me of betrayal. I am not a member of your organisation. We are enemies. What do enemies do? They fight and kill each other until there’s a platform for reconciliation.”

Many Nigerians Have Slave Mentality: We Need Mental Liberation – GGM

Nigerians are too passionate about their religious faiths. An overwhelming number of Nigerians are more interested in going to heaven than making their country a better place. Indeed many would burn Nigeria down to the ground just because they believe it will facilitate them going to heaven. Of course many don’t practice the teachings of their religion.

Nigerians are too closely attached to their ethnic groups and traditional rulers. I subscribe to views of Samora Machel when he said: “For the nation to grow, the tribe must die.

”Nigerians love entertainment and merriment to an obscene level. We invest money in parties, ceremonies that should be contributed to cooperative societies to create jobs

Nigerians hate being called just plain Mr or Ms. No other people in the world love amassing titles like us. Nigerians spend all our hard earned money on titles and awards that have no contribution to economic growth.

Our misguided orientation has led us to believe that how much material wealth you have is a measure of your worth

We Nigerians believe that public transport is for the poor. Gustavo Petro once said: “A developed country is not a place where the poor have cars. It’s where the rich use public transportation.”

Erroneously, Nigerians believe that the federal, state and local governments have the capacity to solve all of society’s socio-economic woes

Probably most destructive of all is the fact that we love high-end products, yet produce none of these goods ourselves. As a people, we are shamelessly happy to import all our consumer goods. In contrast, in South Korea, their national slogan is: “Anything we don’t produce, we don’t need.”

We are embarrassingly sycophantic. Decades of living under military rule has engrained the oga-at-the-top mentality into our psyche. Our top-to-bottom mentality makes it impossible for an average Nigerian to refuse to obey unreasonable orders from people in positions of authority

Nigerians appreciate the value of education. However, this means they disrespect people who did not go to university irrespective of what skills they possess.

Nigerians think going into politics is to harvest government resources.

Nigerians do not want to take responsibility for their action or inaction. They blame everyone else but themselves. They do not believe that they should take the lead in making the country a better place.

Most Nigerians believe in begging. They beg and beg and beg other people to take responsibility that is purely theirs.

You simply cannot build a global superpower when your population thinks this way.

A Responsible Government Maximizes Social Welfare Not Profit – Ndubuisi Anaenugwu

The major responsibility of the government is to maximize social welfare of the people as well as securing properties and lives of the citizenry.

While individuals and corporate organizations target profit maximization.

The former addresses public interest while the latter takes care of private interest .

Majority of our people are poor because those in Government instead of pursuing public interest are busy addressing their personal concerns . This is why people go into Government to steal public funds instead of using government office to alleviate the suffering of the masses .Since after the civil war , Nigeria Government has initiated several public policies to keep Nigeria as one instead of policies that would maximize the welfares of Nigerians .

Prof Soludo is a renowned Economist that understands too well the relationship between public and private interest . Chinedu Asuzu is a public administrator and the Leader of GGM that will ensure that public interest is served at all time. This is good news for the ordinary people on the street. We must fix our politics . Your voters card is your power. Visit www.ggm.com.ng to know about the first political ministry in Nigeria.

I will only patronise indigenous Products- Soludo

Anambra State Governor-elect, Prof Chukwuma Soludo has said that as a strategy to promote local brands, his official vehicle as governor will be a locally manufactured one by Innoson Vehicle Motors (IVM).

Soludo who visited members of the inauguration committee said this during his speech.

The governor-elect also said it was not a coincidence that he has been wearing local fabrics known as Akwete, saying it was intentional to support local brands, with the intention to make a statement with it.

He said: “My Akwete dress is not just a dress, it’s a statement. I want to make a statement with it. You know, in the entire South East, this is the only textile thing alive, and it’s handmade, by the women of Akwaete in Abia State.

Igbo land is one and we must protect it. We want to bring back the zeal of patronizing our own. I have said it even during campaigns, and I meant it, that if I win, the official car of the governor of Anambra State will be an innoson vehicle.

“The dresses I will wear are those made in our place here. We must protect the things that are made in our place. Something is about to happen in Igboland, and together we will get there.”

On his swearing-in, Soludo said there will be no ceremony to mark his swearing-in, just as not a Kobo would be spent on it. He said the day was simply his first day at work, and even though it is a weekend, he would spend eight hours of the day working.

“I have made a wish that not even one Kobo of Anambra People’s money be spent on that swearing-in ceremony. It is a wish, and I mean it. What are we spending money on? Just a few people coming to the inauguration and witnessing it, then I will open office and get down to work immediately.

I do not wish any event, dancers or players and all that. I just want to show up for work, like every first day of work. Though it is going to be a Friday, which is a weekend, I’m going to work for over eight hours that day.

“No ceremony, no event, no party, nothing. Not even 10 Kobo will be spent. So the people who are saying N20 million has been budgeted should go and tell us where they will get that money. It is going to be work, work, work, and that is what we epitomize.”
